This vending machine turned to look at us when we weren’t looking. I swear to fucking god it did. We tried interacting with it but it turned out to be a normal vending machine. What the fuck.
This shouldn’t phase me anymore but I nearly jumped out of my skin.
“Hey Hellen! Uh- I got you a gift! It’s called a cobra Lilly, apparently it’s carnivorous.”
Thank you, I have something I want to show you as well.
A tribute to the Lyle askblog, @spidercam21 . Given the recent ask theme. Seemed fitting.
My eyes are up here-i mean down-i mean over here too-uhh-uhmmmmm--

-Tu lifts her head up from the couch-

(Despite sleeping on opposite sides of the bed you wake up to Eyes laying curled up next to you you with their one arm wrapped around you)
(They seem to still be asleep)
@many-eyed-husk
| ...A light chuckle from Cade. They slowly move their arm to wrap around Eyes, too. |

"S-sam!! Hi!!"
(OOC: Never roleplayed on Tumblr before, I hope this is right. Sorry if I got it wrong.)
(IC:)
Bang bang bang.
Knocking, loud and hectic, each heart-twisting thud on the increasingly fragile-looking wooden door oscillating between the desperate thumping of a dishevelled wretch searching for help and the animalistic crashing of a grotesque unhuman attempting to break down the only thing protecting you from its bloodlust-driven rampage through the apartment complex.
Despite the lack of response, it showed no signs of relenting, seemingly amplifying in intensity and speed with every second that passed until it was clear that what was pounding on the door was doing so with more than one set of arms.
Ah, shit.
In Sam's mind, there were a few ways this could go. It could be some monster or another trying to get in. Or it could be someone really needing help. By the sounds of it, whatever it was wasn't fully human anymore. But also most of mutated people he'd seen were only aware of their immediate surroundings. Out of sight, out of mind worked very well out in the halls and other apartments.
Logic aside, the choice boiled down to two main points. One: if someone died on his doorstep, then Sam would feel awful about it. Two: if he did die, then at least he wouldn't feel like an idiot for long.
Decision made, he cautiously opened the door, albeit with a table knife in his other.
