Asaf Avidan veröffentlicht neue Single "Lost Horse"

Der israelische Folk-Musiker Asaf Avidan (Reckoning Song / One Day) präsentiert mit „Lost Horse“ die erste offizielle Single aus seinem kommenden Album. Zuvor veröffentlichte er den Track „Earth Odyssey“, eine Hymne auf die von Natur aus menschliche Hilflosigkeit – und somit auch eine Hymne auf die aktuell turbulenten Zeiten. „Lost Horse“ adressiert auch das Thema der Hilflosigkeit: Egal, wie viel Kraft man auch aufbringen kann, persönliche Verluste sind unaufhaltbar.

„2019 war ein seltsames Jahr für mich. Kurz bevor es begann, wurde ich von einem Wolfshund angegriffen, den ich zu erziehen versuchte. Dann, einige Monate später, kam ein Wolfsrudel auf dem Feld in der Nähe meines Studios an und jagte Ariadne, mein süßes quarter-paint Pferd, bis sie schließlich von einer Klippe ins Meer stürzte… sie wurde nie gefunden. Ich war untröstlich und demoralisiert, weil ich nicht in der Lage war, ihr Schicksal abzuwenden oder sie zurückzuholen. Nach stundenlanger vergeblicher Suche nach ihrer Leiche kehrte ich in mein Studio zurück, öffnete mein Notizbuch und schrieb zwei Worte - „LOST HORSE" - oben auf eine kleine Seite… Und dann weinte ich um all die Lieben, die ich verloren habe, um all die Male, in denen meine Kraft nicht ausreichte, um den Ausgang eines Lebens voller Endlichkeit zu ändern.
