Flickering Shadows
In a dream, I’m lost— The shadows flicker, Dancing on edges, never clear. I think they see me, But I can't tell, So I wear my doubt Like a second skin.
A rope tightens, Wound from my own thoughts, Choking the breath of my silence. If I pull, will it snap? Or will I fall into the gaze of those unknown, Watching me from the dark?
The rope stays. And so do I, Suspended in the tension Of who might be seeing me, Of who might not care But still holds the power To drown me in their judgment.
