Not gonna lie, it was the Wishbone episode about A Midsummer Night's Dream. I was in, I think, 3rd grade? I read a slightly modernized version of the play almost immediately after that, because I was a pretentious little AP child, understood about a fifth of it, but was utterly enchanted anyway. Me and old Billy-bard have been inseparable ever since.

No shame.  I think that’s beautiful.  Wishbone was the shit.  And I feel like Midsummer is a good place for someone young to start.

Also for Pink. My hair has been purple, blue, and pink- full head of hair. Yeah, there will be ignorant closed minded people. I've had mothers pull their children to the other side of the street when I walked by. But you kind of have to laugh about it. How up-tight and repressed do you have to be to legit be afraid of someone expressing themselves with a hair color? I've also had kids tell me I looked like a fairy and 70+ yr people tell me I looked beautiful. Let them hate, it only hurts them.
