And that marks the end of season 6. You know what that means? "Damn it, John!" final count!

No I'm not kidding. Yes, it is way less than I thought. I remember there being far more in my last rewatch, but apparently not.

There was 1 in season 4, said by kid!Sara, 1 in season 5, said by Charlie, and then 4 in season 6, 2 said by Ava, 1 said by Sara, and 1 said by Astra.

I think next time I rewatch, I'm gonna count how many times John gets thrown across a room, because man was that a lot of times 😭😭😭

could one of the reasons why mick was more immediately sympathetic toward charlie than the others be because he and amaya were very close before she left? even though amaya was the ultimate rule follower, she had the same wildness that mick relates to in charlie, and that makes him feel human. I think she was his moral compass more than anyone else's.

here’s the thing about mick rory. he doesn’t do authority. he doesn’t do rules. he doesn’t follow orders. except for the ones his chosen boss gives. and that’s the sticking point- mick rory chooses who he follows. and once he’s chosen he’ll follow them no matter how dark the path gets. mick rory chooses sara lance, and after that it doesn’t matter where they go, or who they’re fighting. what the boss says, gets done. and that’s not saying he doesn’t tell her to fuck off, doesn’t sleep through missions and make dumb choices and go off book. but i’m watching this scene in the first zari episode, and they get pinned by this group of argus agents and mick is ready to burn them all but stops when sara says. gets on his knees because she’s said to do as they say. he puts down his gun, in the face of danger and the opportunity to fry some assholes, because his captain gave an order, and out here in the field sara calls the shots. end of story.
