Yeah man, I bet. You're crazy lucky haha. I've always wanted to go there, meet my family, all that fun stuff :p are you going to post pictures of it all on here? :o
I'm SO excited. I'm sure I'll be posting a lot on here, but I'm also planning on making a blog specifically about my experiences while abroad. It'll probably part photo-dump and part writing about things, and I'll post about it once I make the blog. :)
That's so awesome. Are you nervous about going to Germany? :o
Not yet. Right now I'm just excited as all hell, but I'll probably get nervous as I get closer to leaving. Now I'm just thinking about travel plans and the stipends/scholarships I have lined up and how fucking great it'll be to have genuine German beer and to finally see someplace other than the United States.
I'm gonna be off to college soon and I planned on doing a German / Psych double major as well :b how is it?
I absolutely love it! I mean, my experience is probably pretty specific to my school, but I'm having a great time double-majoring. Hendrix's psych program is really well-regarded, and the upper-level German professor is by far one of the best teachers I've ever had in my life. I've also been taking German since I was in 7th grade, so I had a really strong foundation in it.
If you love both subjects, I say you should definitely go for it. Psychology is so incredibly interesting, and it's where my future career goals lie. German is just a great language, and declaring it as a second major gives me a great excuse to study abroad next semester.
So, basically, yes.
