For thicker hair/longer hair- I do recommend you do to treatmenta like leave-in hair growth treaments. Consume vitamins that will stimulate hair growth. Also very important: use castor oil and coconut oil hair masks. I can swear you that it will help your hair grow thicker. Try changing shampoos as well. Recommend: SheaMoisture, Biotera, or natural shampoos that have coconut oil properties in it :)
