Apparently, news of China banning 'delusional' dramas of rich CEOs fall for 'poor' girls goes viral on social media. True or not, I'm not sure.

Anyway, it's a common trope in cdramas and kdramas. A reason I'm more inclined towards jdramas as both leads are 'broke'. 😂

So it's more relatable for me. They're struggling in their 'ordinary' jobs like office worker, writer, designer, engineer, pilot, civil servant, sales, cook, therapist, taxi driver, etc (you get the idea).

So it's more relatable to me. Examples are these that I watched.

(Although some, especially recent Reiwa jdramas tend to trend towards the cdramas and kdramas trope of the rich CEO male leads).
