Jelsa Drabbles #15: Shame
“We met each other on a Sunday morning, both doing our walk of shame” AU
It’s late, i’m sick, and I have no idea what i’m doing with this. Please forgive the mess that is this drabble.
Elsa groaned and rubbed her temples. Dressing quickly, she pulled on her little black dress from last night, scooped up her heels and purse that were carelessly thrown in the corner, and tiptoed out of the apartment she had spent the night in. She took a quick peek at the sleeping raven-haired man still in his bed, and silently scolded herself for drinking so much last night. Once outside, Elsa leaned against the wall and sighed. Yep, she definitely should not have drank so much last night.
Her makeup was half gone, and there was no mirror around for Elsa to see the disaster that was her hair. It had been about half a year since Elsa had gone out for a night of fun and she may have overestimated her limits. Did she expect to land in some stranger’s bed? Nope. She use to ridicule the girls who walked down the street in last night’s clothing, and now should would be doing her own walk of shame. Her stomach growled loudly, and Elsa knew she needed her hangover food to help her get through the rest of the day. Elsa left the apartment complex and headed to the diner two blocks away, praying she wouldn’t run into anyone she knew.
Jack stretched his arms above his head and slowly got out of bed. He glanced over at the redhead he shared one too many shots of tequila with last night and smirked at the tornado of clothes that were sprawled all over her bedroom. He gathered his shirt and pants, got quickly dressed, and left the building. Whistling, Jack headed towards his favorite diner for his usual Sunday morning breakfast.
Trying to smooth his snow white hair, Jack ran his fingers through and checked out his reflection in some of the windows of the buildings he passed by. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a blonde enter the diner; her eyes were down casted and the black dress she was wearing was wrinkled. Jack entered the diner and took the seat next to her at the front of the diner.
“Coffee, and make it black,” he heard her mumble to the waiter.
“I bet that dressed looked good on you last night too,” Jack commented, turning his head slightly towards the girl. She looked embarrassed and turned her head away, avoiding eye contact with Jack.
“I beg your pardon?” She asked, still not looking him in the eye.
“Please I know a one night stand when I see one,” he chuckled.
“W-what? Don’t be ridiculous, you don’t even know if that happened!”
“Well I do know that your underwear is sticking out of your purse,” Elsa looked down mortified and quickly shoved her underwear deeper into her purse. She cursed herself for not putting it on this morning. “The name’s Jack, and might I add that I find black lace extremely sexy?”
The waiter set Elsa’s coffee in front of her and she chugged it down. This made Jack laugh and he ordered another coffee for her as well as some bacon and eggs for himself. “Thanks,” Elsa mumbled as the second cup of coffee was set in front of her.
“Do you have a name?” Jack asked as he popped a piece of bacon into his mouth.
“It’s Elsa.”
“Well Elsa, you should know there’s no shame in indulging a little in life’s guilty pleasures,” Jack said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
“Ugh I don’t know about that,” Elsa groaned, rubbing her temples. Jack offered her a strip of bacon, which she took gratefully and started nibbling on it. She eyed his messy hair and clothes, “You looked like you had a little fun last night.”
“Oh I definitely did.”
“And you have no qualms about ditching some girl you just met?”
“Well didn’t you do the same thing with whoever you were with?”
“Touché.”
“Don’t worry about it Elsa, I bet that guy is going to wake up and find some other girl he can spend the night with and forget all about you.”
“Wow, aren’t you sensitive.”
“I just speak the truth,” Jack shrugged. “All though, I’d definitely wouldn’t walk out on you the next morning.”
“Ha! What a line,” Elsa laughed. “I bet you say that to all the girls you try to get into bed with.”
“Well we’ll just have to see next Sunday won’t we?” Jack flashed Elsa his signature crooked smile. He couldn’t quite place his finger on it, but Jack liked Elsa’s character. She had an aura of innocence that surrounded her and yet seeing Elsa in a dress that strategically exposed half of her body contradicted his perception of her. Plus, she was unbelievably attractive, smeared makeup or not. “Give me your number and we’ll go out next week. What do you say Elsa?”
Elsa thought about it for a minute. A small part of her was screaming “no don’t do it you idiot!” But Jack’s cool demeanor was drawing her in and before she knew it, she was putting her number into his phone. She never did anything risky in her life, so why not start now? Jack gave her a wink as she finished putting her number into his phone. “I’ve already made some mistakes, why not make some more?”
“Great way to look at it,” Jack chucked, saving her number into his phone. He called the number and her phone started vibrating.
“Just wanted to make sure I got the right number,” Jack paid for both their breakfast, and they headed their separate ways.
“Call me.”
“Definitely.”
-Next Saturday night-
“Well, well, well, look who kept his promise,” Elsa giggled as she saw Jack approach her at the bars. He smiled at her and took the seat next to her. The music was loud and blaring, which gave Jack an excuse to lean in closely to whisper into Elsa’s ears, not that she minded.
“Let’s dance,” he said, taking her hand and leading her to the dance floor. Elsa put her arms around Jack’s neck and pressed her body close to his. Her heart was pounding loudly to the rhythm of the music and she could feel herself getting drunk from the blue of Jack’s eyes.
“And what color lace are you wearing tonight?” he asked, his breath smelled like a mixture of vodka and mint; it was absolutely intoxicating.
“Who says I’m wearing anything underneath?”
“Well what do you know, that’s my absolute favorite.”
-Next Sunday morning-
Elsa woke up in bed alone. She held the bed covers to her chest and sighed, Jack was nowhere to be found. She was expecting this to happen and yet she still felt a little disappointed. They had scrambled into her apartment last night, and it didn’t take long before they were ripping each other’s clothes off. Jack was right though, she needed to allow herself some fun. And last night was definitely fun.
Elsa laid back down when she heard the front door click open. Jack entered her bedroom with a bagel in one hand, and coffee in the other. Surprised, Elsa was about to speak when Jack swooped down and cut her off with a kiss. He set down the food and smirked at Elsa’s stunned face.
“Told you I’d still be here in the morning.”
