So, my teacher LOVES Taylor Swift. She tried to buy tickets to Lover fest, but unfortunately couldn’t. Since I’m a senior this year, when I graduate I can be friends with the teachers. I have never related to a teacher so much, and she has done so much for me. Yesterday, I surprised her with my extra Taylor Swift ticket to Lover Fest East as an early bday gift! Here’s the video:

MISS AMERICANA AND THE HEARTBREAK PRINCE IS MY FAVORITE!!! That song *chefs kiss* the media acts like folklore is so groundbreaking for her regarding her songwriting and ignores impeccable examples of writing like MAATHP. I literally wrote a piece on it for my lit class right after it came out (it’s a pretty awesome example of metaphysical conceit in the way she compares the stereotypical American high school to the American political landscape). She does so many amazingly clever things with that song. I want to see it live so badly. Also I really want to see Cruel Summer live just to have the experience of the whole stadium screaming “he looks up grinnin’ like a devil”

YES! I think at first it wasn’t my favorite because it wasn’t like boppy and easily catchy or lovey dovey. You had to really listen to get the context and then LOVE THE SONG. When it first came out, I was addicted to Paper Rings & Death by A Thousand Cuts. Just because of how catchy they were. Then it was Afterglow & False God. Yes! And then to yell also “My hips, my heart, my body, my love” lol.
