Send 🌧 to find my muse passed out in the middle of a rainstorm
As the Nightwatchman Marian had concocted a great many bad ideas, the worst of which was to rob Gisborne on the eve before their marriage was set to take place. It had all been going smoothly until a guard alerted Gisborne to her presence in the house. She raced up the stairs and barricaded herself in the upper room. To her dismay and disbelief, Gisborne got an ax and started to hack away at the door.
Hearing Robin’s voice she decided it would be a better idea to run straight through the dark-haired knight. She couldn’t have been more wrong. In the scuffle of her escape, Gisborne had connected a sharp hit to her middle. A pain like she had never felt before tore through the fabric of her thick cloak and into her chest.
The thunder of a distant storm rumbles loudly as she makes her way into the shadows of Sherwood forest. Marian unfortunately, gets separated from the gang as the storm sets in. A driving rain breaks forth from the skies and begins to pelt the earth everywhere around her. The brunette’s once hasty pace towards the cave where the outlaws were hiding, slowed suddenly as her legs gave way beneath her.
The brunette slips to the ground with a barely audible thud, unable to take another step forward of her own volition. Her paled face buried in a tangle of wet twigs, leaves, and mud. It is in the dense underbrush that her consciousness fades into a bitter and uncertain darkness. Blood marks her side, indicating the presence of an injury she tried to ignore.
