i stopped watching doctor who years ago after clara came on bc i didn’t like her lmao.. like i never liked eleven but the ponds at least i liked... would it be possible to start watching again from the point where bill comes on or would i miss stuff (sorry 2 bother you you are just one of my most Valued dw mutuals and you have the best takes)

youre not bothering me at all !!! i love to talk about doctor who !! and you can totally start again from where bill comes in ! thats what i did recently in my rewatch. i watched nine and ten, watched a couple sporadic episodes of eleven, skipped all of twelve with clara, watched twelve with bill and then thirteen, and then went back to watch twelve with clara. 

the good part about doctor who is that honestly you can pick up from any episode anywhere in the show and catch whats going on fairly quickly. theres a reason why its super episodic, with some plot lines overarching over a season or two. and each companion kinda has their own story thats isolated from the rest. you can skip all of clara, and not really miss Much from the doctors development as a character, or change in the plot. like theres a couple key stuff like how the doctor gets granted a whole NEW regeneration cycle while on trenzalore, but like. who fucking cares.
