When a foster dog lands in our home it is never without the love and support of this guy, @jimreadey . Although I was the primary disciplinarian and caretaker of our foster girl, Elle was infatuated with Jim. While foster Mom always took her on long walks, foster Dad would grab the leash and go for a run, which she thrived on. He's the one who championed her getting off leash time on hikes, who convinced me to let her run free in a football field, who risked connecting with a few potential canine friends and made it possible for us to see how playful she can be with another dog. For all the grounding I tried to instill in this girl, he gave her wings. Most evenings she would wait for him until he went to bed and in the morning, even though I was up and ready to go, she would hover over Jim, slapping a paw on his face, "I want you, she'd say." For sure, she was smitten and I get it, what girl wouldn't be. Thank you Jim for always saying yes to an animal in need. For opening your heart over and over again with the understanding that love is the one thing in the universe, that when given away, multiplies itself. Given freely, it never depletes, it expands and enriches all in it's path. Without the pressure of needing one another, you still have your freedom. Focusing on yourself and personal growth, rather than applying all your energy in another person. Knowing you can fly alone, makes flying with someone that much better. You aren't bothered by the fear of them leaving you alone, because being alone isn't so bad. Flash across my lazy mind

Year is coming to an end, At an interesting bend. “Will you be on the other side?”, Wonders me with eyes open wide.

You run too fast you claim. But running after you is not my aim. If you value, then slow down; Else, pester to lose you,I won’t be that clown.

When your footprints are all that would remain, Will remember how you drove me insane. How you made me look within me with love. To praise myself,whom, I always used to shove.

Will remember the colours of your life, Laugh at how You choose to be Your wife. But, what I will miss the most, Is how you understood the thoughts I post. It had been like having a dear friend, Who heaven delayed to send.

Life wouldn’t have been more rosy with you as confidante, But it would have given me someone to rant, To laugh, to cry ,to pray, to rise up again. To face life with a smile in eyes amidst all the pain. “And what would you have in this game?”. “Nothing but my undying friendship”,says this dame.

Bloom in broken souls

The mind knows it’s wrong it’s very wrong, The heart however simply loves the song. The mind reminds that it’s only sugar coating, The heart hums that for this it’s been waiting. Can the mind not be blind to the lullabies, To let the heart drown in the stranger’s eyes; To let reasoning abandon itself once, For the beats to flutter in the most careless dance? Maybe it’s the mind that finally resigns, Letting heart do what for it pines. Consequences will be after all none, Pain is something that is never gone. It is lurking at the corner of the sun, To be shed once the dance is done.
