Random LoZ TP headcannon: Midna was always a wolf girl (like how some girls are horse girls, some girls are wolf girls. This is a real thing, they're just less common) and when she got dumped in the castle prisons and finds link it's like that moment when a horse girl sees the wild stallion bucking off all the ranch hands in the pen and freaking out and she knows in her heart that they will have a special connection and she will be the one to tame the wild stallion and they will be free together. But link is also just sort of a guy in a wolf body and as soon as Midna figures that out it does kind of ruin it for her at first but then the second half of the wolf girl trope (where the girl secretly dreams that her wolf OC can become a person and romance her; stay with me, this is a real thing, I have met several of these women) kicks in. And by the end of the game she's back in the twilight realm with a three wolf moon tee shirt that smells like Link and waiting patiently for her wolf to come rescue her from her boring life.
