Hi! I just found your blog when looking for ideas for Link from Zelda U, and I looveee your costume! I dunno if it's already asked, but I couldn't find anywhere what material you used for the bow?

Hi there! No one has asked that yet so you aren’t crazy. :3 It’s a base of several layers of foam core poster board (5 I think?) that I sanded and shaved down (using an exacto and sand paper) then covered with gesso and painted. The hilt portion is actually just several layers of craft foam and the handle is a pvc pipe covered in leather scraps (course that broke in half, so I have to fix that but minor detail). Then the details at the top and bottom of the bow are just some twine that is lightly painted.
