Johnson & Wales University, my name is Lexy Parsons, a junior double majoring in marketing and management from Hampton, Virginia! I would be honored to hold the position of Student Government Association President because Johnson & Wales deserves an individual who will work relentlessly to improve, connect, and to have immense, genuine passion for our university and incredible student body! This past year as Speaker of The Senate for SGA, my work lead to a student experience enriched by a 300% increase of clubs and organizations on campus, a student government much greater in transparency and held to a higher standard, and a university more representative of what we truly are, and I have no plan of stopping there! As Association President, I will ensure all senate projects, legislation, and meeting minutes are publicized and accessible to every single student in order to continue our goal of 100% transparency, continue our revolutionary OneJWU campaign, which aims to bridges both campuses, athletics, greek life, clubs and organizations, and all others to realize we all are one university student body, publicize office hours and SGA meetings to our student body more, with a main emphasis on the open floor portion, specifically for SGA to hear the student bodies concerns and questions, at beginning of meetings, and to create a SGA Suggestion Box, located outside the SGA office and in the Wildcat Lounge, for those students who are unable to attend our meetings to voice their concerns. #LPars4ElPres #ParsonForPresident #TrulyProud #SGA #OneJWU (at Johnson & Wales University)
