Quick (not so quick on retrospect) update.
What's up everyone? Still here.
Started school about 2 weeks ago (I'm now in what's called a Sixth Form, which is pretty much what you do before University (for UK people I'm in Year 12) (for you Americans out there I think I'm a Junior in high school now; feel free to correct me if I'm wrong...)), and it's going pretty well so far, but it's eating into my time. If anyone's interested I'm studying Maths, Physics, I.T., and Business Studies at AS-level (then next year at A-level).
I have a few hours of free time on weekdays and almost every hour on the weekend to actually work on things. I'm not going to lie to you and say that working on the remake will take up all of my free time, because that wouldn't be true. I will work on the remake when I can. I don't really want to get burnt out again like last time.
Anyhow, the important stuff that needs to get done on the remake currently is porting the rest of the codebase (not very much) from UnityScript to C#, and I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in a previous blog post, so I won't elaborate why I need to do this. After this I'm not sure what I will do, but it'll probably be menu stuff or savedata stuff.
One more thing before I sign off, if you sent me a YouTube private message and I didn't respond; don't worry I don't hate you. YouTube doesn't notify me about things like comments and PMs, so I have no idea when I get them. I have replied to all of the PMs I noticed today (some of them were from over 3 months ago... whoops), so if you need a reliable way of contacting me you can tweet me (@Figglewatts) or email me ([email protected]), and I will be sure to respond diligently!
Also Ludum Dare 27 results are out soon (I think it coincides with the GTA V release date), so that's pretty exciting! You can view/play my entry here.
Hope everyone's had/having/going to have a nice day, I spent mine filling out job applications and doing physics homework. See you all next time!
