Do you ever feel like you should be better at something than you are? I feel like I’m pretty ok at a lot of things - not great, but ok. And when it turns out that something doesn’t come naturally to me, I get frustrated. Take this flower. It’s from the lovely @allikdesign Modern Florals book. She could not have made it any simpler to draw, but I damn near had to trace it in order to get it anywhere near presentable. 🙈😂 I know, practice makes progress, but so often I wish I could just magically absorb the talent/skill/knowledge simply by owning a book. My mom used to tell me, you can’t just open your head and pour the information in.
