IT’S GIVING TUESDAY! I started selling on eBay in 2006, when I had two toddlers under two years old. I couldn’t keep up with their clothes, they would grow out of them almost as soon as I bought them! I sold toddler clothes, shoes, cloth diaper covers, and bought the things we needed. eBay was a small community back then and it was the first social site I used. Sellers and buyers were supportive of those who did their part to make the community awesome. Nowadays I sell on eBay and Poshmark for the charities I love. eBay auto-donates to a charity I choose after a sale, and my closet on Posh supports charity, called Closets for a Cause. I donate to NAMI and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention because I lost my dad to suicide. I donate to the Humane Society of the United States and the Boys and Girls clubs of America. My business donates monthly to the Wounded Warrior Project, as a way to give back to the soldiers who have served and prevent their high rate of suicide. Right now WWP is matching donations. We purchased a few gifts for Cmas from the Best Friends Animal Society swag store, and they are also matching donations. BFAS goal is to eliminate all kill shelters by 2025.
