Dec 2015 LT SF Workshop & City Dance Performance Recap

Such a fun weekend….sorry my Recap took a while to be posted…I had a new cell phone app for my videos, & it took a while for them to be downloaded :/ Anyways, here’s a photo I took of City Ballet School:

I will start with the SF Workshop/After Party Recap:

I got to City Dance about 6:15pm (Workshop started at 8:20pm—about 20 minutes late—but LT made up for the time afterwards) b/c we wanted to make sure we could find a good parking spot & to avoid the nasty traffic. Since they were not letting in spectators/dancers into the Workshop until 6:45pm,  @kitamulathamsampier​ & I wondered around Downtown SF until it was time to go inside City Dance. When the rest of the LT Vets arrived, we were all given these cool necklaces (I LOVE IT):

They held the Beginners Class in one room to start–smaller group of people–but more intimate that way. I sat on Lau’s side. They started off with warm-ups/Nirvana/etc to get the kids pumped up. The song choice for the Beginners Class was “Initiation” (Tory Lanez & Benzel). After learning the steps with Lau, he checked to see who was sweating as much as him (only a few of them were sweating—Lau gave a high-five to about 3 people…lol).

While Lau was teaching his class, he told everyone to act like one of his moves was like Mortal Kombat…but then he said that they were too young to know about that…lol.

Lau then noticed a very small baby & couldn’t concentrate on dancing for a few minutes….I’m sure there’s video floating out there of that moment. AWWWWWW! He held the baby up like in the Lion King and sang the familiar song from the movie…here’s a clip of that from missred on YouTube. Larry also tried to hold the baby, but Lau shouted for “SECURITY”! LOL!

We were all moved to another room for the Adult Class–& there was a     TOTALLY different type of energy—LT LOVED that. I was able to sit on   Larry’s side this time. The music choice for the Adult Class was “Fall In     Love” by Candice Pillay. Larry said that the very beginning of the song     they were actually singing “Larry & Lau”—everyone in his class started     to bust out in laughter! All of the dancers were catching on to Larry’s     moves, & that gave him MORE energy.

As Larry was teaching, he suddenly stared right at me….like paused &     stared 0_0…that’s how I was able to get this pic:

I was able to capture this small video of Larry FINALLY having a little     quiet time with the small baby from before…

Lau then came & gave @kitamulathamsampier​ a mini-private dance, but his knee started to act up (tried to be too silly)…lol. Larry came over to stand by him (which was very close to me), & he was fanning his shirt on himself because he was hot—but I noticed something else: Larry’s pants kept getting lower….& lower…& lower 0_0….when Larry was VERY close to me & fanning his shirt, I saw his V-line…starting with his abs…Oh my….0_0  Y’all just don’t KNOW!

I wasn’t able to record the whole Freestyle after the Adult Class, but there are more videos floating around on-line that show the session…..my cell phone ran out of memory :/ Here’s a Gif of them circling in the Freestyle:

Lau then concluded the Adult Class to get ready for the After Party (Larry had to be reminded about it during the Freestyle…lol)

I did not plan on attending the After Party…thought I could get some rest before going to the City Dance Performance the following night…but as Kit & I were heading out, Larry (sitting down on a bench in the hallway) saw us leaving & asked “where you going?” We tried to explain to him that we were not attending the After Party, but Larry said “You not leaving. Go to the party.” Once again, we tried to explain to him that we did not have tickets for the After Party, & that we would see him at the Performance the next night. Larry said “No. Go inside to the Party.” We gave in & attended the After Party—no need in arguing w/ Larry 0_0

The After Party got everyone dancing with LT’s cell phone playing music from their Playlist. Here are a few pics I took of them dancing/vibing (I see you @jaidenichole @staycalmmoveon​ & @ladyluckyy​):

I got some private dances from LT as well: first Lau—he stared straight at me, catching all the beats from a song while he maintained eye-contact—that is the key—you must maintain eye-contact with them & they will show you what they do best. No time to be shy—you must stare right back at them. I got two separate (deadly) dances from Lau, & one from Larry (his eyes—enough said).–IF ANYONE HAS VIDEO OF THIS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! 0_0

There was a song that Lau kept trying to show Larry beats that he had missed while they were both dancing—almost caused a fight (I could see that fight coming from a mile away) 0_0

As the night continued, it seemed as though LT were gaining more & more energy (where was it all coming from???)… 0_0 Lau was singing lyrics to a song where he started to “point-out” girls to go along w/ the     lyrics…well…let’s just say that when he pointed at me, it was not a nice     word—I called him out on that immediately—I told him “I don’t think so. You better point at somebody else!” Lau ran & hid behind Larry, but Larry wanted to have nothing to do with that…LOL! When Whitney Houston’s “I’m Your Baby Tonight” played, everyone was dancing & singing along with the lyrics! That also happened when Mary J Blige’s “I Can Love You” played—every single lyric was being sung by EVERYBODY! 0_0 LT’s playlist was HOT!

The After Party ended @ 1:45am—with Sandy closing her studio @ 2am. Larry almost left his blue jean vest inside of the studio (a girl found it laying on top of a freestanding ballet bar). We all said our farewells & headed back to our hotels to try to get some rest before the City Dance Performance.

We were able to find Ghirardelli Square in Downtown SF & try some hot cocoa before the Performance—it was soooooooooooooooooo good! Since we were so close to The Cowell Theater, we just decided to find a parking space & wait for the event to start (we got there @ 6:15pm…doors opened @ 6:45pm).

There were 16 different Performances before LT—w/ an Intermission in the middle. I had a front row seat! The whole show was great! When it was LT’s time to dance, the whole audience erupted in applause. They did some of the same dances from the Red Bull Event, but some of the music was changed. Lau forgot some of his moves/choreo, which angered Larry a bit. They finally got it together, but Lau lost his balance a bit at the very end of their Performance…silly Lau. Since they were the final performance, it was time to go.

After the show, the staff @ the Cowell Theater started pushing everyone outside into the cold air—Booooo. Larry said he had to go & that he was sorry he couldn’t hang-out a little bit longer. We knew that LT had a flight back to Paris to celebrate their birthday over there. Lau did hang-out with us for an additional 30 minutes near the front of the venue. He still had a lot of energy 0_0. When his ride arrived we all got our hugs & wished him a Happy Birthday (he kept saying that Larry is older…lol). We all departed back to our hotels to try to get some rest before our flights the next     morning. All I could smell on my flight back home was Lau’s scent… ;)

I wish this trip was a bit longer, but I can’t wait to do this again (yes—more is to come)! People always ask me why do I travel to see LT—the only answer I can give is that they feel like family to me—not just LT—but all of the wonderful people that I meet along the way at these events—enjoy this collage:

SF LT (After) Workshop Fun Fact #2:

While Lau was sharing videos of baby Carter (d'awwwww) at the Japanese Restaurant after the San Francisco Workshop, he said that when they first got him, they really didn't know how to take care of a puppy. They had placed a bowl on the ground, put some puppy food in it, & thought that the puppy would just....eat it. LOL! The puppy went up to the bowl--& splat!--fell right into the bowl & got puppy food all over his face...sort of like in this video here  :p

They now know that he is too young to eat out of a bowl, & that they must bottle feed him....LOL!!

For those of you wondering--Carter is FINE! LT loves him VERY MUCH. Carter also has a twin sister that they could have adopted, but LT thought that taking care of 2 puppies would be a bit too much work....just look at him below (Gif borrowed from @iblueamber):

SF LT Workshop—CONTINUED

Some other things that happened during/after the SF LT Workshop are still on my mind:

1. When I first started my “DJ Duties” with Larry’s laptop, I noticed his screensaver was this pic by Shawn Welling with a black background:

& every time I re-started the music, I was like:

  D’awwwwww!

& every time I stopped the music, I was like:

  D’AWWWWWWWWWWW!

I told Larry since I know how to use his laptop, he no longer has to look for a DJ at anymore of his US Workshops—because I will be there at each one!   :D

2. When Lau started to first teach his choreo to his class, he was speaking with a baby voice—it was too funny. Lau is weird….

3. Towards the end of the Workshop,  I noticed that while everyone was exiting the venue, a girl was trying to get Larry to remember her name. Lau stopped Larry with just a stare & a quick motion with his head of “NO”—& that immediately stopped Larry from putting that girl’s phone number into his cell phone (believe me Larry—mother Lau helped you to make the right decision)  0_0

4. I found out that the way to get LT to remember your name is to reveal it in a funny way. OK—DON’T LAUGH—but this is how they will remember my name from now on:

       While we were eating in the Japanese Restaurant, Larry offered me some of his sushi (remember…he had ordered about 4 plates of it beforehand—he was HUNGRY). I politely declined. He asked “Why you don’t like sushi?” I told him that the reason why I can’t eat sushi is because I can’t eat something with my name in it—that would be ridicule for life. Larry & Lau both asked at the same time “What your name?” I told them “My name is Ushi”. They both repeated my name & they both started to laugh & laugh….silly twins. They then said that I can’t buy Gucci….& started naming other things that rhymed with my name that I couldn’t have….just plain silly!!!!    :p  LT showed us their tattoos as well..Larry said that he was too ticklish under his arm—so the tattoo had to stop in that area. He said that there was an area by his neck where it hurts the most to get a tattoo…& he brought his shirt down & pointed that part out…   0_0

5. On the way back from the Japanese Restaurant later on that early morning, a homeless man started to follow Larry. Larry was sad because he had no change to give to him—but we tried to grab Larry because he didn’t notice the collection of homeless people that started to follow our group @ 2:45 in the morning. We told Larry “it’s ok….maybe next time we may have something to give to them”, & quickened our pace to LT’s Hotel (we were about 2 blocks away).

6. After I got hugs from both Larry & Lau that evening, their smells were like:

—Larry = still smelled like BABY POWDER…my shirt that I wore that night still smells like himmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…..

—Lau = smelled like light cologne (not sure of the name), but I’m pretty sure that was because he had just taken a shower right after the Workshop…he did not have on the beanie hat—his hair was bouncy & fresh—like in that Mizani commecrial Lau did click here

Ok, Ok…I think that’s about it for the Report. Please note that I haven’t slept in @ 3 days because I’ve been thinking about all of this in my mind—wondering if this really happened or not—AND THIS REALLY HAPPENED!!!! :D

Now, excuse me while I cook this white rice, tomato/corn goulash, & turkey sausage for dinner…..I’m like Larry tonight—I’M HUNGRY!!  :D

SF LT Workshop Report from 8/4/14

San Francisco—WOW!!!! This was my first time traveling to California, & it was really a great experience (even though I was only there for about 2 ½ days)…I just had to sit & type about this LT Workshop experience.  What is even better is what happened AFTER the Workshop….but I’ll get to that part later on  ;)    HERE WE GO!

1. We arrived at Margaret Jenkins Lab @ 6pm—Kit, Ms. Jacky, myself…& a special surprise guest for LT—& there were already people who worked inside that let us enter to pre-register for the Workshop. Y’all already know where I headed towards to sit…but get this—Sandy Lee also sat near the music equipment, & said that the 2 chairs next to the music equipment were going to be for her cameras….  :/  But….guess who took over those 2 seats? LT! Whoop! I got a couple of close-up pics:

  2. Here is a pic of Lau’s Beats by Dr. Dre Pill—& the white towel—that white towel had both the sweat of Lau & Larry…more of that later  0_0

  3. We were trying to see how long it would take to notice our Surprise Guest once LT walked into the Workshop. As they were entering the workshop studio, they saw our surprise guest—Têvi from Criminalz Crew! Here’s a video of them giving them a twin hug….d’awwwwww—Click here. I sat next to Têvi during the Workshop. (Oh yeah—that’s mostly me in the background telling them “SURPRISE”….& when I told Lau “he could have this one”, I meant THE CHAIR RIGHT NEXT TO ME!  :D  He accidently dropped his sunglasses on the ground at one point, & I picked them up and placed them neatly on his chair….Lau gave me a thumbs-up!  :D

4. Larry then set up his laptop (@nemiimen Larry still has your stickers on his laptop) & Lau came over to try to find some music to dance to. They stopped at a song by Busta Rhymes Featuring Missy Elliott & Ne-Yo called “Freakin’ Show”—but Larry thought that the song was too fast. Lau said that it wasn’t, & tried to tell him that the dancers could keep up with them. They kept arguing with each other—back & forth—but Têvi settled things. He said something in French to Larry, & he decided to go along with Lau and choose the fast-paced music. Here’s Larry next to me:

  5. Lau then asked a boy next to him if he could start their music—but I jumped at the chance to be the DJ! I shouted “I VOLUNTEER!!!!! I was the DJ for the night—WHOOP! Now being the DJ meant that I had to keep EYE-CONTACT FOR THE ENTIRE NIGHT WITH LT. They made 2 types of signals for me to re-start/stop the music…1 being mostly that “Woop!” sound. The only confusion with those signals was when they each made different signals at the same time (like one would make an “X” to stop them music, & the “Woop” to re-start the music…made me so-o-o-o-o confused at times! I remember when Larry first did the “Woop! Sound to re-start the music again, he blew me a kiss…. :D

6. Larry then started the music for warm-up. I told him “they not ready”. He placed his hand on my shoulder & placed his ear closer to my face (he couldn’t hear me at first)….so I said it again—“They not ready”. Larry said it too—“They not ready”. I just sat there and stared at him for @ 2 minutes….Here’s a Gif of him hugging a young girl…d’awwwww:

  7. I was sitting on Lau’s side, so……after warm-ups (Nirvana, etc.), Lau started teaching his choreo to his dancers. He was upset because he was the only 1 sweating. He wanted to see more sweat  0_0

8. Lau hurt his left wrist doing something during his rehearsal w/ OTRT& he told Têvi about it. Têvi then asked me, “Why is he telling me he hurt his hand?” LOL! Also, when he came to check his cell phone, he noticed that his mom had called. He said “Mama called?” D’awwwwww….

9. Yoram & Ben of YAK Films were also taking video @ LT’s Workshop. Larry then started that slapping game with them  0_0

10. After a while, Lau’s dancers started to finally feel the music & follow along with his choreo. Lau felt that energy, & started to “stab” himself with an imaginary sword, “bled from his wounds" (fingers trickling down his chest to portray blood), & finally lapped up his blood & drank it, & licked his fingers to “seal the wounds to became whole again”.   11. Lau did this long, deep cleansing breath—it was B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. (Sorry—no video of this because I was on DJ duty). He then came back over to his chair next to me & asked “where is my white towel (Larry had taken it over to his side of the Workshop). I said “là-bas” & pointed to Larry’s side. Lau said “why he take my towel?” Why was Lau asking me these questions—-I HAVE NO IDEA……???? LOL!

12.  Lau wanted everyone so close to him so they they could smell his fart…lol (sounds familiar)! He then noticed 2 people leaving the Workshop—Lau asked “was it too much?” Everyone started to laugh….LOL!!!

13. Larry played “Flawless”—Extended Remix by Beyoncé feat. Nicki Minaj & started to vibe with it…& Lau joined in, too….Click here to see Lau vibing to the song…here’s a pic of both of them:

LT both came over to the music equipment, I gave them each an XL Bottle of Smart Water—then Lau said “let’s have a contest!”  They both started to drink the water & the goal was to not spill a drop of water—Lau won. Lau then started to dance again—but had to stop for a minute—-he said that the water almost came back up….ew. Here are a few pics of Larry teaching his class:

  16. After Larry & Lau did their final choreo with each of their crews, they started FREESTYLE. I was able to get most of it on this video, but not the very end (ran out of room on my iPhone)—Click here.

17. At the end of the Workshop Lau turned on some music while people were getting in line to get pictures with LT ( they originally did a group picture, but we talked them into doing individual pics—Woop!). After I got my pics with LT, I told them that I would GLADLY be their DJ in Charlotte, North Carolina & Washington, D.C.  :D Here’s a small video of Larry dancing when most of the dancers/spectators had left the Workshop. I also ran in to Kalina & Dina at the Workshop  :D

18. OK—here’s the good stuff! As we were walking back to our cars, Têvi spoke to Lau. He asked them if they were hungry—OF COURSE LT said they were hungry! So they invited us out for dinner. OH.MY.GOODNESS. We followed them to their hotel, & hung out in a place with a pool table (Larry & Têvi were playing pool). Larry had already changed clothes, but we waited for Lau. They then learned that Lau was going to take a few extra minutes (he was taking a shower), so Larry said that we were going to walk to a restaurant nearby—LARRY—10 blocks is not nearby!!!!! Mind you—this was @ 12:30am  0_0

19. Anyways, we went inside of the restaurant (Larry, Ben, Yoram, Ms. Jacky, Kit-Kat, Têvi, & 2 other friends they knew) & we all fit inside of this tiny private eating area. We ordered food (& Larry ordered enough food for himself that could feed like 4 people—GOSH!) & totally almost forgot about Lau (he showed up by himself @ 30 minutes later). The kitchen had closed by then (1am), so Larry let Lau eat some of his food (d’awwww). They then started to share stories of their baby (Carter) & showed the CUTEST videos of him….HE’S SO CUTE!!!! Larry shared a video of Carter that should not have been shown while we were eating—-BWAHA-HA-HA-HA!!!! They were also fascinated by those YouTube videos of cats chasing/following laser lights—you know the one where the fluffy white cat is chasing a laser….or the kittens following a laser to “Turn Down For What”—click here to view—THEY FOUND THOSE TO BE HILARIOUS!!!!! They were mimicking the kittens with their head movements—-TOO FUNNY!

20. Most of the people at the table spoke in French—but Lau noticed that—& said “hey, let’s talk in English so they understand, too”—-d’awwww. Thanks for caring about us, Lau (even though I could pick-out a few French words here-and-there)!

21. It took a few minutes for the food to be brought out, so Larry & Lau did what they do ANYWHERE—Lau played some music on his cell phone & they started to dance. You know…normal stuff done in a restaurant while waiting for some food 0_0

22. FINALLY the food arrived—we were all starving—-& quickly devoured our food. Larry taught Ms. Jacky how to use Chopsticks, but she opted to ask for a fork…lol.

23. Larry made fun of how the server was talking (her accent…& really, Larry?)—but Lau quickly chastised him. Awwww….mother Lau keeps on Larry at all times…lol. OH—the bill—-we had to clear the private dining room because LT had a fit over who was paying the bill—either Lau or Larry—what in the world?

24. After we finished eating, we all re-traced our 10 blocks back to LT’s Hotel & said our goodbyes—& I got hugs from Larry & Lau this time….note—it was @ 2:45am when we got back. I told Lau that I had to catch my flight back to Houston in a few hours.

Lau asked me: “At what time is your flight? (he looked so worried)”

I told him “Sept”.

Lau said “Seven?”

I said “don’t worry….I will sleep on the plane ride home.” It was real late for me, ya’ll…

Larry then said to his brother that he still wanted to go party…. 0_0

  **Please note that Larry did not want us to take any pics/videos of that night, nor to disclose (ie. check-in on any cell phone apps) of where we were—& we all honored his wishes.**

I don’t know about you, but this was by far one of the best times I’ve ever had with LT….I can only hope that the next times I meet with them will be SOOOO much more interesting…..

Currently uploading all pics/vids from the LT SF Workshop (7 out of 50 uploaded so far)....I should be able to get my report out by tomorrow. My head is just SWIMMING with everything that just happened--I GOTTA type it all out!!   ;)
