Ten: Murder Island Review

Disclaimer: Just because I say I would’ve done something a certain way doesn’t mean I think it would’ve been better. I’m just stating my opinion.

Lifetime movies haven’t been my cup of tea since I was forced to watch them since childhood and they all have the same kind of format but I do have a select few that I can appreciate. Tbh Ten: Murder Island was a little all over the place and could’ve been better but I’m cutting it slack because of the decent acting and the fact that it’s that director’s first film.

The acting was good but I feel like some things could’ve been improved on. Some scenes were decent and some just felt like something was off, an actor did too much or too little, or they didn’t do enough for me. There didn’t seem to be any real shock that I believed. I would’ve liked to see more whereas that was involved. Imo it wasn’t brought well enough.

I felt like the suspense was lacking maybe due to the runtime or the trailer for the film idk it never hit a climax for me.

Camera work was amazing. Usually when I watch movies I focus on shots and how I would’ve done it either the same way or different. Didn’t really have anything constructive to say about this portion. I’ll have to watch it again but from my first viewing, it wasn’t too terrible.

Something I didn’t think I’d enjoy was the way they did the diary/flashback scenes. I think that might’ve been my favorite thing about the movie tbh. It was pretty unique imo and I really really liked them.

Personally I would’ve used figments or an apparition just to up the tension a bit. There were a lot of actors to work with so not much development was able to be given which is difficult as it is with a more experienced director but they did well for their first time. Adding onto that, I would’ve also done something different with the intro. It fit, but I don’t think that was the way I would’ve gone.

With all this being said, I did enjoy the movie. It could’ve been worse and I applaud the cast & crew for the hard work they put into this piece of art.

Btw, đừng có hút thuốc, anh không thích tẹo nào.

Còn không thôi rủ bạn về nhà nhậu cũng được, an toàn hơn. Bia anh để sẵn trong tủ, mồi em và các bạn tự chọn nhe.

Em cứ nhậu đi, xỉn thì lăn ra đó nằm rồi hú anh, anh bế lên phòng, lau tay, lau mặt rồi ngủ.

Bãi chiến trường đó thì để nguyên cho anh, xe mấy đứa bạn, anh sắp xếp gọn gàng lại rồi anh lấy mền gối backup cho tụi nó đắp tạm. Xong thì quay qua dọn dẹp, lau nhà cho nó tươm tất lại rồi anh ngủ.

Em khỏi lo.

Sáng mai anh dậy trước thì anh mở cổng tiễn tụi nó về rồi vào ngủ tiếp với em.

Chi phí trọn gói anh tính là một cái hôn má, một cái ôm và một câu nói "em yêu anh" nhen!

Em cứ đi làm đi, tới giờ về thì anh đón, cơm nước anh nấu sẵn, nhà cửa anh quét dọn, quần áo anh giặt. Tối ngủ anh ôm, skin care anh lo.

Hôm nào buồn thì anh đàn ca múa nhạc, tấu hài cho em vui. Hôm thì làm tí bia cho nhẹ nhàng.

Cuối tuần thì mình nằm ườn ra ngủ tới trưa, dậy thì 2 đứa mình lên đồ đẹp rồi lang thang kiếm đồ ăn, góc cafe nào đẹp đẹp để chụp cho em vài tấm hình. (Caption sống ảo thì để anh nghĩ cho). 🤧

Lâu lâu thì tụi mình đi đâu đó chơi đổi gió, trốn thành phố xô bồ, mang chút yên bình cho em.
