downloaded luanti (basically free minecraft). cant wait to play the beautiful game that is asuna.
This is a house I'm almost finished building over an underground library I found near spawn in Asuna! I'm not the best at building and I'm focused on experimenting with stuff and seeing how I feel about how things look together in order to improve over time.
Asuna is a game for Luanti, formerly Minetest. Luanti is free and open source, I highly recommend checking it out. Asuna is my personal favorite game for it because it's chill, beautiful, and has the perfect balance of creative and survival imo. You have to go find all the materials, but it's possible with the research function to gain creative powers for specific materials over time by sacrificing them initially. You can still get hurt, need to eat, and there's a few hostile mobs, but things are mostly peaceful.
Given how popular Minecraft is for vtubers (and probably flesh streamers?) I really want to somehow get a group of them to play a Luanti open source version. I feel like any visibility on that front would do a world of good for the popularity.
And Minecraft is one game that Open Source really should be able nail down and take over. Once MC modders got going there and realized how much further they could go and potentially how much easier it could be, why would they want closed source MC?
