She would never admit it, but after a long trip or a hard day at work, it wasn’t always nice to come home to an empty place. Sure she could go out and enjoy a five star meal at the best restaurants or drink with other wealthy, famous people, but there was a comfort in having an actual friend and a normal conversation that didn’t involve work that she found herself craving at times. In times like these, Nola would throw on silk jammies, her softest robe, fuzzy slippers, let her hair down and head to Lucas’ place. The pair could talk about anything and laugh without stress, and when she needed it, he always had a stocked bar. When she reached his door and knocked a few times, she fiddled with the draw string of her pajamas while she waited, giving her a smile before her face turned to a look of exasperation.
“ I hope you have something for me to cook up in that kitchen and you restocked that bar because I had a long day, it’s cold as hell outside, I need strong drinks and comfort food.” She smirked, making her way inside and making herself at home.
