just a little redraw for fun, Michael teaching his daughter how to fly with Lucifer
I love Michael Demiurgos from Lucifer vertigo comic. Such an interesting take on an obedient and devoted son that still remains kind and selfless at his core, which prevented him from being the extreme lawful "good" caricature who was basically a religious fanatic. So to see that fucking Netflix butchery of Lucifer "adaptation" to reduce him to an evil twin just caused me to have crash out and vow to never ever watch the show again. Also, it's a fucking cop show that's literally Lucifer x self-insert reader fic.
Some old art hhhh hes such a cutie patootie
Part 5
Next, I had to make a 8-page comic adaptation of a piece of literature. I picked the 17th century play 'Lucifer' by Joost van den Vondel (if you know anything about this play you'll know it's an insane thing to try and condense into 8 pages but oh well)
Now I do have plans for this comic so I won't be posting the full thing here but I will share some of my favourite panels

Hey, does anyone know whether there's a specific tag for two different versions of a character meeting and interacting? Because I feel like that actually comes up a lot in fandom.
Anyway, here's one of those, with Lucifer (TV) and Lucifer (comics) meeting! This is one of those concepts that's super interesting to me about a character who's supposed to not have a gender or supposed to have a specific nonbinary gender being trans towards a binary gender. It's kind of ambiguous here, because I think being nonhuman Lucifer would have ambiguous views about it. But the idea is all angels normally use it/its and so comics Lucifer just does that because it's normal, in a roughly cis way. There's a bunch of fate and destiny stuff that's, like, metaphorical or something.
The disability is in here with TV Lucifer's wings, and it's used analogously for becoming ill, injured, in a physically dangerous situation, etc. as a direct consequence of escaping abuse. Which I think it mostly was on the show, too, but in case people need a warning! The risk of harm to the body for a chance to chase bodily autonomy runs through the story.
Set soon after the comics and at the beginning of the show, but if a different reading makes more sense to you I'm not going to tell you how to interpret it!
For DC Trans Week Day Five: I'll let you judge how much you count misunderstandings and/or disability, but I do have the parallel universe and the it/its characters!
