M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?
all things fanfiction (shush, lucy, you are not gonna ramble about everything else, too):
my current favourite is “Android (Connor) having a panic attack and human S/O trying to calm him down” (seen in chapter 2 of the revamped unwanted that accidentally turned into a series)
and “Android gets his memory deleted and replaced with another person and all his human friends, incl. his S/O are very confused (and hurt)”
and “Connor being the leader of the androids and I will make an ending that makes sense and doesn’t involve him killing himself.”
or “how do android nightmares work? a mix of pre- and reconstruction of events?” > I think this one has been done before though.
my all time favourite? “Android trying to interface with human” and everything around that
OH and my apocalyptic dystopia lover self: “Anything post dirty bomb and living in destroyed Detroit. Are there still humans? How do they survive? Do all androids agree? WHAT IS HAPPENING?”

N: Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?
not a fic specifically, but I wish people would teach me how to do oneshots that don’t spiral into entire short stories xD maybe that undercover fake love & enemies to lover thing that was one of my first ideas after unwanted? I never figured out how to write that one, although I have read similar things in other fandoms ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
aight, story time (this ask is super long, y’all didn’t sign up for that):
I’m relatively new to fanfiction, have been writing original works for around 8 years, 2 of them actively in English. Depending on what I write I have different influences.
For my (very wonky) fantasy novel I drew inspiration from Tolkien, mostly.
For my recent crime/ psychological thriller novel, I was influenced by Stephen King.
For my main project I draw influence from everything I read. a lot of technique I get from authortube?
for fanfiction, I am mainly influenced by how a lot of people write oneshots (I came from novel writing into writing 1K fics, someone kill me). I won’t tag anyone here, as this ask is super long, but people like shadows-echoes, the-darklings, you too, actually, have definitely influenced how I approach oneshots? I’m very inconsistent with who I actually learn from, so often it’s just “THAT piece of literature” I use xD
