2ndart:can you settle an argument between Mase and myself? JJ Abrams' Star Trek, is that considered an alternate reality different from the original series?
nathansummers:Yeah It is for sure one, the whole timeline with two Spoks. The only way that can be explained is an alternate dimension.

Your friend just clearly stated what I have been saying. I'm still more than will to continue this debate with camera and more nerds commenting on it. But you know I'm right.
luisgpiercing said: It’s actually addressed in the movie. It’s an alternate timeline that splintered off because romulan dude went back in time.
BAMN another one in my win column. Also Spock himself even addressed that this is not the reality he knows. Also Trunks (the one we all liked) is from a different reality once certain obstacles are gone we are left with the Trunks raised by both Vegeta and Bulma which makes him more of a spoiled brat and not the badass that came back and beat Freeza within seconds with his sword.
crusherdestroyer said: Nah brah. Just an alternate time line like alternate 1985 in BTTF 2. First timeline happened and then Spock travels back and rebooted the universe. New version of the same dimension
New version of the same dimension? Call me crazy but doesn't that mean an alternate reality?
