2. gets mad at the TV and throws the remote.

i mean, this one is danny 'i don't have anger issues' williams, who totally has anger issues, lol. most likely while watching sports (i don't know anything about sports so i can't elaborate there).

but i also can imagine steve watching all the cheesy old sci-fi movies that danny seems to love and criticising the science (the writers may have forgotten steve the science guy but I haven't and I never will) until he sees something so stupid it gets him angry enough to throw the remote, lol.

tho still a more likely scenario is danny gets so fed up with steve's commentary/criticism/exclamations 'that's so unrealistic/that's wrong/there's no sound in space' that he ends up throwing the remote and storming off saying how he'll never watch movies with steve the ruiner of fun™ ever again.

3. gets the worst road rage.

i genuinely can't pick between the two of them here, steve is a crazy impatient driver who according to danny drives like a maniac and danny is from new jersey.

although, i imagine, danny has a rule of not screaming at people when he has his little girl in the car and steve also drives carefully when he has their kids or his niece in the car, but when it's just the two of them or they are alone all bets are off.

if someone cut danny off or otherwise put him in a dangerous situation when he has grace, i definitely see him getting out of the car saying 'it's all right, monkey, i'll be back' and then putting the fear of g-d into the asshole that endangered his little girl. don't forget about steve tracking down the asshole that ran grace off the road and laying into him also.

neither of them have much scruples about using their badges to intimidate people who wronged them on the road for sure. as usual, tho, depending on who is more pissed off in a given situation the other serves as the reasonable one to pull them back from the edge.

17. takes the safety steps when building a pillow fort.

steve goes absolutely overboard, not just with safety, he actually has blueprints and calculated the optimal ratio of pillows Vs blankets and the amount of chairs/load bearing furniture necessary, and in general scale.

so he turns his entire living room in a massive pillow fortress. danny thought it was too much but even he had to admit it was cozy and comfortable when he and steve find some privacy in there after the kids are asleep.

19. Is addicted to angry birds, game of war, candy crush, temple run, or flappy bird.

after they start making phones with screens big enough for his goofy thumbs, danny totally gets hooked on playing match-3 games and word puzzles. at first he just checked out the games his little girl was spending time on and he had to make sure they were above board but then he got totally addicted but tried to hide it from steve because he assumed he would make fun of him for it.

steve never had much respect for idle games and he hadn't really played video games since ms pacman was the height of technology because he always preferred physical activity to pass the time, and he scoffed at e-sports. (canonically he didn't even know what angry bird type game was and danny had to explain it to him)

but one time danny catches him playing god of war/heroes of war and magic (idk pick any PvP strategy war game) and goes 'ah-ah' while steve tries to save face by saying 'it's totally to sharpen my strategizing skills, plus, i have to get back at this teenybopper from latvia who raided my castle while i was asleep, danny' but danny will never let him live it down.

trope mash-up: poorly timed confession + bed sharing 😌

If anyone else would like to throw a trope mash up into my askbox!

I think I'd do this as a classic "oh no there's only one bed" but flip it on it's head a little. Heads up for boner talk, because boners are fun.

There's actually two beds, but there are in fact three people, because Steve and Danny are keeping an eye on a witness for plot related reasons, and are basically stuck in a safe house with the guy. Safe 'house' is pushing it too, it's closer to a shack, with one room and a bathroom, a partition allowing some division between the two double beds crammed next to each other. There's a kitchenette which is basically just a tiny counter, a microwave, and a mini fridge.

So, oh no! Looks like Steve and Danny are going to have to share a bed! Whatever in the world is going to happen!

The witness in question is a very high maintenance CEO type, who is Not Impressed with the lodgings, and it's like "shut the fuck up, someone's trying to murder the shit out of you."

But because of the high maintenance, CEO Witness (let's call him uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Brad) has like, a fucking noise machine and ear plugs and a sleep mask, so at the very least Steve and Danny can lay next to each other and whisper all the shit talk they want without him hearing, because jesus christ this guy is a douche bag.

They fall asleep close but not touching. They wake up spooning, because of course they do. The first morning it's not an issue, because Danny's the big spoon and he's trans, so there's no morning wood to embarrass himself with. The second morning it starts to get a little more awkward, because Steve's the big spoon, and he does have a big ol' Good Morning! boner like 'hi hello, it's me' right against the small of Danny's back.

Steve's mortified and inches way enough that his dick isn't all up in Danny's space, but he can also tell Danny's awake because he isn't breathing soft and slow like he does when he's sleeping. But Danny's gentlemanly enough not to bring it up, he knows how stuff goes with unwanted boners, even though he doesn't have that particular problem.

But it happens again that night, when Danny wakes up to the sound of rain at midnight, and okay yeah. That's definitely Steve's not insignificantly sized hard on poking him in the back again. Danny tries to move surreptitiously away because if he thinks too much about Steve's cock then he's going to get hot about it. And that is all kinds of inappropriate, because Brad is sleeping in his primadonna face mask a few feet away from them.

But as he moves he wakes Steve up, because Steve's arm had been dead weight laid across Danny's stomach, and now it's tense and very carefully being lifted up and away.

"Sorry," Steve mumbles.

"S'fine," Danny whispers back, because yeah he gets that stuff happens. Except it's not morning. But that doesn't meany anything? Right? How does morning wood even work? Is it just blood flow? There's no way it's like, tied to an actual time of day. Is it?

Steve on the other hand, is Very Much Aware that morning wood is only a small part of the reason, the main issue is that he's got Danny sleep soft and SO CLOSE YET SO FAR, tempting and relaxed in his arms.

And of course sexual tension, a few more awkward boners, leads to whispered confessions of mutual "i want to smooch you" feelings, ruined in the moment by Brad the Asshole CEO's continued presence.

They're going to have to wait until after this case is finished, to be able to do anything about Steve's erections. Alas.

Taking a closer look at the assigned readings on the syllabus, Steve realizes why the name is familiar.

He’s read this guy’s book.  

Souls On Board: Pearl Harbor and American Entry into the Pacific Theater had gone around the SEAL circles, when it was published about a couple years ago. It’d been contentious, as any book written by a civilian about the military always is. But it’d been pretty good, Steve remembers actually enjoying it for the most part, even with how long and academic it was. For someone who’s never seen combat, William’s had been thorough and thoughtful in his approach to the subject.

Souls On Board is listed under the ‘recommended purchase’ section, so that says something. Williams isn’t the kind of professor to make his students pay $50.00 for a hard cover book when he can provide them the text for free.

Steve’s not the kind of person to pay $50.00 for a hardcover book either. He’d stolen Freddie’s copy, who had read it during part of his recovery and scribbled liberally in the margins.

I supposed it'd be the easy way out if I just went w/ 'Danny is Trans' lmao. Let's go sexy. Sexy is wild.

Steve genuinely thinks of himself as 'mostly vanilla' and at some point it comes up and he says it, and Danny just stares.

"... I don't think you know what that means."

"We don't do latex or anything," Steve says, because they don't.

"We literally have a safe word."

"Yeah but that's just. You know. Being safe."

"Last weekend you tied me to the bed and grunt fucked me for like four hours"

"You weren't complaining then," Steve's starting to feel defensive. It wasn't four hours either. Like he's got good endurance but Danny's exaggerating. It was *ahem* a while, however.

"I'm not complaining now! I'm just saying, you? Me? We? Are not 'mostly vanilla', you moron."

Also Steve has really sensitive nipples, and if Danny trying to Make A Point (and they're not in a work environment) he'll reach out and tweak one. It drives Steve crazy in all the right ways.

🚀 Do you like to outline your fic first or create as you go?

I have a very rough outline in my head of where I want things to go, and then as I write a have one big word document for the Chuck. Then I basically section Big Moments I want to hit. The past few months I haven't been writing in chronological order, which I think is one of the reasons I've been so productive. It's fucking bananas, idk how I'm doing it but I am.

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?

I find Steve challenging to write, but his POV is also very fun. His approach to things is very straight forward, he's impulsive and stubborn. He also goes with his gut instinct, which is basically the opposite of what I do, so it's interesting to try and get into that mind set. For as difficult as I find it, I do seem to be going for his POV a lot.

💡How many WIPs do you currently have?

W/ H50 I currently only have two, Where Waters Do Not Curve (which is technically kinda sorta finished, but there's a bit more I'm vaguely thinking of adding, so I'll include it) and the Yet To Be Posted Professor Danno.

I am thinking about adding to Move with the Currents, but nothing is in the works for that rn.

Starred Worm I have three, Depth of Field, Jedi!Maul, & Vermilion.

All three of those are currently on hiatus, because the motivation and inspiration just isn't there. Sorry y'all. H50 eated it.

👑 Do you like writing short fics or long fics?

I wish I wrote shorter fics, but plot has a tendency to run away from me, and stuff that was supposed to be a short character exploration winds up being fucking uh.... Over 70k. Lmao. Whoops.

10 Things about My Home~

It took me six+ years of saving (and my parent's being able and willing to co-sign) but a few months ago I moved from a shit hole apartment (roach infestation) to my own condo!

Anyways, I now live in a community where it's mostly retirees, and judging from the big trucks, a lot of construction guys? Or something. The kind of dudes that have a giant truck and actually need to use it for work. I'm one of the youngest people here. It's kinda weird.

I have like five bathmats in my room, because my cat won't use the scratching posts I buy him, and I'm trying to save the carpet and furniture.

We got a huge ugly sectional from my brother's coworker when we moved, and it barely fits in the living room. But! It was free! And the previous owners also had a cat, so it's already scratched to shit, so if Bean goes at it, it's not a (huge) problem.

If you don't run the garbage disposal before you run the dishwasher, it won't drain properly on it's own and you have to hit the cancel/drain button like five times to get it to empty. I haven't figured out how to fix it besides that yet. Plumbers are expensive. No flooding though!

The interior decorating is still really bare bones, because it's just ikea furniture and the mish mash of other free stuff we've gotten from family members and friends. I've got some shit I want to hang on the walls, but the frames they're in are too big and it looks like garbage lmao. They're weird sized posters, I'd need to get custom frames and that's not gonna happen any time soon because it'd be like $200 a pop minimum.

There's a tiny Bold and Brash print from Spongebob in the living room. I think my brother got it at Hot Topic?

We've got nice back balcony, with a lovely view of a cinder block wall and another building. Ah, city living.

I've also got a fire place that I never use, because 1) I live in the desert and 2) the couch is so big I'm afraid it's too close for us to use it safely lmao.

I'm trying to decide if I've got the gumption, budget, and patience to renovate the kitchen myself, because it's all white and kind of hideous.
