Guys help, Luke is leaving for Australia and will be there for like a month but I’m so helplessly in love I think I should just have a serious talk with him. I need him to know how much I care about him and like, he’s everything and I’m down to date but he’s leaving tonight so I don’t have a lot of time to make up my mind 😭

Luke’s version of Teacher appreciation week (05.09.19+)

So this whole thing all started almost a month ago (sorry for not updating in forever lol) but Luke gave me a very small package and a letter, idk why but he gave it to me after the class I TA for. He slid it to me across his desk like it was a drug deal and had to run off to a meeting, so I didn’t even open it until I got home from class.

I opened the letter first, and it said, “I know it's teacher appreciation week, but I'd rather it be ‘teachers-appreciate-their-students' week. You're not one of mine anymore, but I'm glad you've stuck around. You've helped me tremendously in class and to learn new things every day. I thought you should have these, I have no idea how they work and probably never will, let me know if you can find a better use for them.”

I have literally no clue what he’s talking about at this point but what’s in the little box? Freakin AirPods. He’s such a dumbass and doesn’t know how technology works, let alone bluetooth, and he gave them to me because he knows I can’t use regular headphones because I have a tendency to walk away from my computer and fucking yeet the entire thing across the room by the cord.

Ok fast forward a few days, because this happened on a Thursday and I saw him next on Monday. We had our regular coffee morning, but before we went on our own business I needed to give him a hug (because of more things I might post later) and he asked about how I liked the headphones. When I hugged him I told him “thanks! for more than just the headphones.” and he’s SO CUTE he said “you’re welcome, for more than just the headphones!” and that he’s glad I was in a happy mood (surprise this didn’t last for very long)

Gosh, Luke is just so great to me. I’ve been feeling like actual shit but he’s kept up our normal routine, coffee and texting so he’s been a real constant in my life and it’s kept me from going total destructive mode lol

I’m posting another update in a few minutes because more happened between us 2 weeks ago when we went on a field trip for his 300 level geology class :)

Luke’s Birthday Dinner 💜

So, this update isn’t as long as some of my other ones cause I wanted to leave out some chunks of personal conversation. Anyways, enjoy!

Luke texted me about 6pm, which was luckily just after I got through with all of my grunt work for the day, so I didn’t have a care in the world going into last night. He picked me up like a half hour later. I’ve never been to his house before, I only vaguely know where he lives, so imagine my surprise when we drive up into the fucking hills and roll up on this quite impressive house. It was so magical like, he lives up in the forest and idk it was oddly calming in a way?

So we get inside, he’s being a gentleman and opening doors for me along the way which was too cute, and idk man it was like a dream. We sat and talked for a bit, and eventually he asked if I could help make dinner. I can cook a bit, but he went all out, he was pan frying some salmon and like getting all fancy up in here and I was so starstruck the entire time. He just looked so happy I couldn’t even believe it, he’s been stressed from work and seeing him give it up for a few hours was great, it really warmed my heart.

Over dinner, he told me such a cute story about growing up in Australia and just how different America is but how he loves it, and yeah I swear I physically saw his eyes light up during our conversation and it was so comfortable. He’s so sweet I was just kind of floating the entire time we were talking, and eventually he leaned back and just thanked me for coming over, and that he wouldn’t really have wished to spend his birthday any other way.

And like… that was the best thing to hear. I value him so much to hear he just got to relax and enjoy himself for a while just made me feel like I mean something to someone. Because we both had an early day today he promised to deliver me home around 11, so we drove back and this time he walked me all the way to my front door. My roommate wasn’t home, but a lot of my neighbors were and I’m sure some of them saw us, and like, if anyone knew us we didn’t really give a rip cause we were enjoying ourselves and it’s not like we were doing anything odd in public. Again, he asked for a hug (he always asks, which is too fucking sweet of him) but this time we didn’t say anything, we just kind of held each other for a long time and I could tell we both just felt so at peace I soooo didn’t want to let go. No matter what kind, I just felt so loved in that moment and I really hope he did too. We let go and he just smiled real big and walked back to his car.

So that was our dinner together. We still haven’t outright talked about us but I think for now we don’t need to. We’re just doing our thing.

I had a midterm for 2 hours, passed out until my class as a TA with Luke, hung out with him afterwards and I’m just now going to bed after finishing my homework n stuff _ I totally have a post in the works that I’ll finish after my early class tomorrow 😍 (it’s the am so technically today lol)

I just want to spend more time with him... but it’s hard because honestly we’re in this weird (but welcome) middle ground, where idk if he’s going to “ask me out” or if we’re just in agreement we’re a thing, idk I feel like we’re both dancing around the subject and I know he has longstanding commitment issues so I definitely don’t want to be a savior because that’s not really what he needs. I just hope he knows that I just want to give him the whole world and that what we have is very special and idk i’m tired and this is a rant and i just miss him, even with how often I get to see him.

First of all, it is unbelievable how much he makes me happy. Literally just being in the same room as him my heart feels so full ugh. 

Anyway, I was totally late to his class today cause I’m dumb and my printer stopped working right as I was trying to print an assignment. So, I had to wait until after class to ask him if I could bring him coffee in the morning. So as we’re walking down to his office (and he is done shooing away the other students with rhetorical questions) I ask, and he says “Are you kiddin’ me??? I can’t say no to that!” and bumps me with his shoulder (the cutest thing he does with me) So, turns out his favorite shop is a little bit $$$ than on campus stuff, but I don’t care if his coffee is 50$ i’ll buy him one everyday if that’s how I gotta win him over 😍 Jk I just want to make his day a little brighter

So, in his office we’re just chillin. First of all, he’s wearing one of the only shirts he owns that actually fits (because of course he always wears buttoned shirts that are a size too big cause he’s so tall) so he looked fine as hell. I convinced him to start grading some assignments from the day so he can forget about it over the long weekend, and I’m just working on some papers I have to write for a class tomorrow. Then out of fucking nowhere he does this.

So, my real name (isn’t Fae, surprise surprise) has two syllables, and Luke well knows my favorite singer is Drake and I’m slowly converting him into a modern music fan, so he starts singing to himself “___ ___,” do you love me?

and in my head I’m like *kill bill sirens blaring* do I fucking WHAT???  then he says “are you riding, say you’ll never ever leave from beside me!” then he hums the rest of the tune. At this point, I’m smiling like a goddamn idiot and he looks up and sees me smiling and does his precious little laugh. (I swear to fuck he has the most gentle laugh I’ve ever heard) 

So I mean I have to say it back, because his name is also two syllables, and he gives me the cute smile he does when I’m around and ugh it really made us both feel better cause we were both super anxious today, not sure why but I could literally feel him stressing out from across the room. So, we sit in comfortable silence for a few more minutes until I have to go to my next class, and he gives me this look as Im about to leave like “don’t u DARE leave me” and I just had to smirk back and tell him I’ll see him later. End scene.

In summary - BRUH HE SAID HE LOVES ME 😂 jk just the lyrics to a song he knows I like. So I guess next update will be coffee time with Luke and Fae!

EDIT: I forgot to mention just how sexy his voice is. It’s pretty deep so him singing to me is like holy shit I’m gonna come over there and kiss you, you dumbass

The Drive Home (Part III of Las Vegas)

The drive home was super chill, luckily for about 90% of the drive there weren’t any assholes on the road (not until we got back to our city… bitches be wild over here)

Poor Luke looked verrryyy tired because he’s pretty jet lagged from his overseas traveling a few days ago, so he asked super nicely if he could copy me and sleep on the way back and of course I said yes and he settled in all nice and cozy and passed out pretty quickly. He had his head propped up on his right arm and what the fucketh he is so cute when he sleeps! I’m sure he was thinking the same thing about me on the way over but it was so nice to just listen to XM radio on the way over (his favorite station is classic vinyl for anyone that’s curious)

So, as we got near my neighborhood, I guess he had woken up a bit because I said “Luke?” at one point and he replied with a super sleepy yes and I told him I got him a birthday present (The little Negan Funko pop) and whether he wanted it early or later this week. He said he didn’t want it early and that he should just drop me off and get home and really go to bed. I just had to tease him and say “awww, is it past your bedtime?” and of course it made him smile and he smacked me for it but like, how could you not say it 😂

We got back at literally 2:30 am and I had to park a bit a ways from my apartment cause a ton of college kids were back in town and Luke wanted to walk me back cause it was dark and he actually looks pretty intimidating when he needs to be. We walked back painfully slowly both because Luke’s leg really hurt and since I didn’t want to leave him just yet, so we talked a bit about what our plans are for later this week and what to actually do (today) because he had meeting all this morning and I had class.

Luke is so sweet and gentle when we got to my apartment he said he had a great time (me too duh) , and if he could give me a hug. Dumbass knew what my answer would be so I wrapped my arms around his middle and he rested his arms on my shoulders and damn son gave me the biggest hug in the whole world and omg when he thanked me for coming I could hear his voice in his chest and I thought I was actually in heaven and wtf everything from beginning to end was perfect. He let me go and even though it broke my heart to see him practically limping back to his car he didn’t break his stride so I guess he was feeling just as good as I was at the moment. Next time I’m definitely talking him down from something where we have to walk anywhere, I hate seeing him like that.

But, what a fucking perfect night!!! I literally couldn’t get to sleep until 4 am, then my dumbass had to get up at 7 am for classes but wtf it was amazing and I can’t wait to go see him tomorrow and talk about what we’re going to do on his birthday (tbh I don’t know how it could get any better but we’ll see he can usually think up something pretty genius)
