After spending a week at the hotel, Sir Pentious kept his word and had spent time with you, more willingly than others, it made Charlie really happy over his progress in redemption, which is a good thing after all!
Not to mention since you being an angel and all- it was kinda a fitting situation when spending time with Sir Pentious.
If he were to be redeemed, he'd be prepared to socialize in Heaven, since you were are an angel, you really helped without even acknowledging it.
You even spent time with his Egg Bois and made sure they tried to stay out of trouble, although they were somewhat out of your control, you had raised sentient stars as your own for eons, specifically the ones you had with you at home before you even... kinda gave them away for labor in Heaven. Now that you think about it, you miss your creations.
You spent all night lying in bed, hoping to fall asleep but you just couldn't for some reason. You began to think and ponder about random thoughts that came to mind and even sometimes it would end up being Lucifer. You would shake the thoughts about him out but all attempts seemed to fail when you got to a serious question to ask yourself; 'what happens if Lucifer knows you're here?'
You sat up in your bed as you stared into the sheets in complete deep thought.
Would he try and banish you for what you done? Where would you go then? Would you just disappear? If both realms deny you, then what..?
Then you remembered, Charlie has mentioned to you about how Lucifer has been really busy and that he doesn't ever go anywhere, so it's safe to say you both may never see each other again.
You sighed before wiping the exhaustion from your eyes, despite being tired, you just couldn't and with your thoughts you know you can't sleep.
You tossed your blankets off your body and slid out of bed, stretching before opening your balcony door. The chilling air touched your warm skin and made your night gown flow with the wind as the doors opened. You stepped out and leaned onto the balcony railing, basking in the calming and cooling breeze.
You stared up at the red skies and city lights, barely noticing the stars that were dimmed away in light pollution. You exhaled softly, quietly listening to the ambience that had complimented the winds. You stayed for a while and began to ponder again, maybe you should go on a walk?
Since you couldn't sleep, maybe you could explore hell by yourself? After being in the Hotel for a bit, you felt comfortable to be here. Most cause of Pentious spending time with you but Charlie was so sweet, you felt right at home more than you ever had in Heaven. You stood up before going back into your room to get dressed, using your powers to close and lock the balcony doors behind you.
After slipping on your angelic attire, knowing you aren't comfortable wearing anything else but that, you wrote a note and stuck a star on it to place on your door, letting the others know where you are at before leaving.
You walked down the hall quietly, seeing and walking past furniture as you felt quite excited to explore for yourself. Before you could turn the corner, a shadow formed in front of you, revealing Alastor standing tall with a smile, you weren't surprised or scared at all since you got used to his surprise pop ups, "where might you be going my dear?" he asked as he tilted his head, you smiled as you walked past him, "I'm gonna go explore if thats okay," you reply as you turn the corner of the hall and stepped down the stairs as he followed, "I couldn't sleep so I was hoping to benefit my time rather than lay around." You say as watch your step.
He shadowed himself down the stairs before he gestured his hand for you to take, "Oh it's quite alright to do so! don't want you to feel cooped up in here, that just wouldn't be right!" he says as you reach for his hand to assist you down the last few steps down the staircase. "Thanks." You say with a smile before walking to the entrance to leave, "Be back soon dear and be safe." Alastor waves as he leaned on his cane. You waved back at him before leaving the hotel to explore hell on your own.
Although it may seem dangerous to be alone, you were well enough capable to defend yourself as a former seraphim. You walked down the hill and onto the sidewalk of the city, letting yourself lead to wherever you may see or find. Although hell-born and sinners ran from the very sight of you, you didn't mind since it made you feel safer to explore, You looked at stores and boutiques, bars and restaurants with many people in the buildings. You obviously weren't going to enter any store since it would most likely wreak havoc and panic among the creatures that screamed the moment they saw you.
You stopped in front of a boutique and gasped in awe when you spotted a beautiful gown that stood in display on a mannequin. You leaned against the window with stars in your eyes not noticing the owner of the store staring at you in fear. You backed away mumbling a 'sorry' with an awkward smile as you continued to walk into the city.
Not realizing where you were going- you bumped into someone and stumbled over them, crashing onto the ground. You groaned in pain for a moment before realizing the situation, "ah- oh my stars, are you okay?" You ask as you sit up, looking at them. "The fucks your problem?" The woman you bumped into shouts angrily at you, picking herself up and patting down her clothes with a strong disliking towards you.
"Oh, I was just- uhm." You stutter as you stand up, awkward and embarrassed. You were now just wishing to go back to the hotel at this point, due to the attention between you and this woman.
The woman in red and dark navy-blue looked at your appearance in distaste, "the fuck are you wearing?" she says as she stares at your tattered dress, making you feel more back down, "You look like you came out of a mental asylum." she adds, making you step back nervously.
'maybe exploring alone was a mistake..' you thought to yourself as you held your arm. Your unresponsiveness made the intimidating woman just stand and stare at you, making her start to notice who you might be, "hold on," she says, making you look up at her, "you're that angel, aren't you?" She asks, stepping closer to you to look at your features, "yeah, the fallen angel: shootin' star!" She exclaims, her hostility disappearing.
"What?" You ask, confused.
"You're the angel that fell like a shooting star about a week ago or so," she says as she scrolls on her phone and shows you a live footage of you in the sky, making you feel awkward once again, "not to mention the stars that rained from the sky too, people are stealing that shit left and right and bidding them like no tomorrow." She says as she scrolls on her phone again.
"Oh." You say as you look away in surprise, hoping now that your creations are in somewhat safe hands. Deep down you know they aren't.
"Well," You exhale as you clasped your hands together, ready to leave the scene as quick as possible, "It was nice talking, sorry for bumping into you," You spoke with a cheery facade as she looked at you, away from her phone, "I was just looking at clothes and exploring, so if its fine with you, I'd like to just go back to the hotel.." You smiled awkwardly, "Clothes?" She asks, not caring what you said at all but that, "Oh, i'm all about fashion. sweetheart!" She says as she leaned towards you with her hand out towards you, "Names Velvette." She said with a smile.
"Oh, uh- Y/n." You smiled nervously, taking her hand in yours. "Well, Y/n," She says as she grabs your hand, dragging you away, "I can totally help get you out of that filth and into something more fashionable." She states, letting go of you, letting you follow her willingly, "Where are we going?" You asked, wanting to make sure it seemed safe to be guided, despite still following her.
"To the V-Tower," She replied rather quickly, "Gonna get you a new fit to rid of that hideous one." She says, insulting your angelic tattered attire. "Oh, alright..." You say quietly, feeling unease gnawing at you but you reassured yourself of being able to protect yourself. The star that nestled in your head was ready to protect you in case anything went south.
Upon reaching the V-Tower, you looked up in awe of how tall it was, You followed behind Velvette through the bellowing crowd of paparazzi and news reporters that gathered at the front, trying to get any ounce of information from Velvette or you.
"Look it's the fallen angel and Velvette!" a voice shouted before you entered the building, making others surround both of you. Velvette ignored any questions they threw at her as she typed away on her phone, meanwhile you were swirling away from overstimulation due to the flood of questions and information. You'd expect the sinners to run for the hills from your presence but due to being next to an Overlord, probably made them suspect you weren't hostile and instead, they'd shoving microphones and cameras in your face, asking bizarre questions.
When you both made it into the elevator, your mind swirled from the abrupt loud crowd and flashing lights, Velvette pushing a button as the door closed, shutting out the crowd. You shook your head to bring back your focus. Velvette hadn't really said a word to you since you both began walking together. You stood quietly in the elevator unsure what to do or say at this point so you just let her lead. Honestly, the nervousness was gnawing at you still and even more, like the gut feeling telling you, you might have walked into a trap.
You noticed Velvette's typing in her phone increased the further we went up the levels. When the elevator chimed, the door opened to a much quieter floor, halls were decorated in red and other colors that uniquely complemented it. You looked down to step out the elevator, avoiding tripping yourself somehow. When you looked up again, a tall, slim figure stood before you, a smile plastered on his TV screen for a head, "ah, if it isn't Miss Shooting Star!" He chimes, arms crossed behind his back as he leaned towards you to meet his height, "pleasure to be meeting you, My names Vox, owner of VoxTech." He introduced, his hand summoning a blue hologram box, revealing the logo of his brand before reaching his hand out for you to shake, his claws a cyan blue, sharp and clean, you hesitantly took it into your own, "pleasure." You wry'd a smile, having no idea who this guy is.
"Uh, excuse me?" Velvette spoke up between us, a hand on her hip and her phone tilted away from her gaze, I pulled my hand away from Vox's, him still smiling, "don't you dare try and swoop one under me, Vox." She warns, making me blink in confusion. "Velvette, my dear," Vox stood up tall again, "this is the Shooting Star we're talking about, how could I not?" He shrugs be walking past her and behind you, his claws on your shoulders, making you shiver from surprise. "Besides, it won't take long! Think of the headlines, the brand." He tried to persuade her as she stared at him blankly although it sounded more of Vox convincing himself. You listened to the conversation on the sidelines, processing that they wanted to do something with you, well him specifically, and you wanted nothing to do with that.
"It'll just be a moment, just a small talk and a few questions!" Vox says as he tried to push you away, but you were in no way wanting to go through what he had to offer. "Pardon me, Mr. uh- Vox." You turned out of his grasp, "I'm only here cause of Velvette and her offer to help me." you smiled kindly and sincerely to let Vox down gently to avoid any conflict, his smile faded making you feel unease before he smiled again, "oh it's no problem, dear!" Vox assured with an enthusiastic expression, "if you ever have time to talk, let me know." He smiled before looking at Velvette who was smirking at him, making him turn away from both you, rolling his eyes and zapping away through a camera. You felt relief when he left, Velvette walking past you as she went back on her phone, "this way." She said as she gestured you to follow again.
Down a hall, you entered a room with Velvette going to the desk that sat directly in the center of the room with papers scattered carelessly. "Now before you can do work for me and all that, we obviously have to make a deal." Velvette says as she closed the door with a swift of her finger, using her abilities.
"A deal?" you ask.
"Yes, a deal." She says as a luminous contract appeared in front of you, showing off the details of what you would need to do in order to have your part of the agreement.
"Just sign right here." Velvette smiled as she guided a feather pen toward you.
You stared at the contract and pen drifting, you were then triggered with a flashback of Sera, who had taken advantage of you, even without needing an agreement, so what would happen if you were under complete control?
You pushed away the contract out of instinct not realizing that Velvette quite literally watched you reject her deal. "Ah- sorry." You apologized, holding your hands down, looking down before speaking up again, "I just-" You began before walking to her desk, pushing away the contract further, "how about an agreement instead?" You asked.
Velvette didn't look very pleased with how her plans were going. She crossed her arms as she looked at your hand reaching out for her to shake, "fine." She says as she pushed your hand away before turning away and going on her phone, seemingly to be texting someone.
She sat down, putting away her phone, "So what agreement did you want to make?" She says as you sit in the chair on the other end of the desk, "Well, I was hoping that for clothes, i'd work under you!" You say with a smile, "But since I also work at the hotel and need to get back in a few hours to do my job there, I could just come to you whenever I have open time for you?" you ask, hoping she would agree.
Velvette didn't seem so pleased but she needed to get you on their side so she just shrugged, "Fine, how about we start right now?" she asks, sitting up from her chair and leaving the room, guiding you down the as you followed, "kinda in a busy schedule later today, plus i'm quite behind thanks to one of my employees uhh, ‘split’ for now."
"split?" you asked, thinking they just couldn't come to work.
"Yeah, uh-huh, anyways do we have an agreement?" Velvette says, reaching her hand out to you as her other hand rested on the door you both had reached. You hesitated but smiled, knowing she agreed to what you wanted, "we do." you say as you shook her hand gently. "Great!" Velvette chimed, pushing open the doors in front of you.
When entering the room full of designers and models, Velvette snapped her fingers, making you turn to her and realize her employees were going towards you, "woah uh-" you exclaimed as they guided you to another area of the room, towards a mirror and removed your clothing, you were confused and uncomfortable, "Don't worry," Velvette said, noticing your unease, "they're just taking your measurements, it's all part of the job you know." she reassured, leaving you in front of a mirror and her employers lifting your arms and guiding the tape across and around your body.
Despite feeling a little anxious, you were also anticipating in what outfit you could possibly wear or get in hell and finally be out of that angelic attire you wore all your life as a seraphim.
✧•✧•✧•✧•✧•✧•✧
Angel tapped away on his device as he walked down the stairs, he sat at the bar in the parlor noticing Charlie and Vaggie were putting up a banner but not really caring.
Angel opened his social media and scrolled, immediately seeing you all over trending, "Wait, what the fuckk?" He says to himself as he scrolls further.
New idol; Shooting Star!
An Angel works for The V's??!
Shooting Star
Shooting Star is HOT
She so fine!!
You were trending like crazy all over media, he even opened other apps and you would be there, edited or thirst trapped from simple poses you did, Velvette was striking off your curves for everyone in hell to see, knowing you were quite timid, it made him worry.
"Uh, Charlie?" Angel asks, facing to look at her and Vaggie who pinned the left side of the banner she held, "Yes, Angel?" She asks, stepping down the ladder she was on and to give him her full attention, "Duhh, Wheres Y/n? Cause uhh, she's all over media stirring up a storm." He says, walking to Charlie and showing her his phone, revealing Y/n in different posts, outfits and poses.
"Alastor said she went out earlier this morning to explore on her own." Vaggie explained as Angel looked back at his phone and Charlie went back to the banner, he knew what the V's were capable of and he hated them genuinely but you were an angel so maybe everything would be fine?
"Ah, alright." He says, questioning himself a little but brushed it off, hoping maybe you could end up doing him a favor and snap his boss out of existence. You were capable of defending yourself and he knew that. He sat back on the bar stool and continued to scroll on media to try and find details of how you ended up there.
✧•✧•✧•✧•✧•✧•✧
You were absolutely exhausted. You weren't sure how many hours you had been there but your body was sore from posing and standing with tight clothing that made you feel like you were gonna suffocate or heavy designs that made you feel elegant but also struggled to make you stay in place. You never had the experience or exercise to be physically fit, you could do simple tasks but you relied on your powers for the difficult or heavy ones.
"Alright, that's the last of it, thanks Shootin' Star," Velvette called, "I got a meetin' to go to so choose what outfit you want and I'll call you when I need ya, ta-ta!" She finished as she left rather suddenly, not giving you the chance to say you don't have a cellular device.
You stretched and sighed as you laid on the sofa that sat in the corner of the room, relaxing your nerves for a moment to regain a bit of energy before choosing a design of choice. Upon laying your chest on the sofa and your head on the arm rest, you leaned your head up and noticed the view of how high up you were in this building. You sat up as you leaned toward the window and saw how split some colors were in sections, assuming thats all the different locations of hell and you in the redish-pink one.
"Madam Shooting Star," a designer called out to you, "the outfits have been aligned and are ready for your choosing." She says as she bowed to you, "Oh," you smiled, "lead the way please." You asked softly, following her as she guided you down the room to another.
When you entered the room, there was a row of models standing tall and dressed nicely in dresses and outfits, "these are the designs you are allowed to choose from for today, requested by Velvette herself." the designer stated, letting you walk up to the models and looking closely to the unique designs each clothing had. You were enamored by how much detail each one had, however, you kinda wanted an outfit that was simple, at least something to start off as.
You took your time as you looked at each model, taking one away after another to lower the options of which you wanted, after being left with three models down, you sighed in difficulty from what to choose, you stared at the three models not noticing their timidity from being in the presence of you.
A door opened as another model was shoved into the room by a fashion designer who looked like she hadn't rested in days, "sorry, had a few minor detailed remade in this one last second-" the stressed designer exclaimed but you didn't listen because the outfit on the model looked so simplistic and yet so unique it was perfect, "that one!" You pointed and shouted, running up to the timid model who was quite terrified to see you approaching her, "this one is perfect!" you smiled, holding the hand of the model who nervously smiled back.
"Oh- really?? I'll- I'll get this one ready for you then!" The designer said as she dragged the model back into the room, giving you the dress neatly into your hands no less than a minute later.
You went to the dressing room, slipped on the dress, gloves and looked at yourself in the mirror.
'This would be much nicer with accessories..' You thought, maybe next time you were here, you'd ask for that instead.
When you stepped out of the dressing room, some designers looking at awe, the dress you chosen looked like it was meant for you.
You smiled a little shyly before looking up at the clock on the wall, it was late to be morning but still before afternoon, this made you realize how long you had been gone from the Hotel, not to mention you were quite hungry.
You announced you were leaving and thanked them for the dress and left the room, following down the corridors of the hall. You walked down the long halls, following what you remembered of Velvette guiding you, finally finding the elevator.
After ringing the bell to bring up the elevator and waiting patiently, a spark of blue zapped from a security camera and appeared right in front of you within a blink of an eye. " Excuse my intrusion Miss Shooting Star but do you have time to talk now?" Vox's voice rose, making you blink in surprise, "Uh- yes." You say, rather startled, was he watching and waiting for you? if so, how long? "Great!" He says, before he places his claws on your shoulders like he did before, the nervousness sinking into your gut again. "I just wanted to make a proposal of sorts or maybe a deal." He spoke while walking with you, "Oh? Well I suppose I could hear you out-" "Excellent!" Vox cut you off, making you enter the elevator with him as he rambled, "So what made you go to that hotel of sorts?" He asked as you rubbed your arm, avoiding his gaze, "ah, well I had nowhere to go and while wandering the city, I saw an advertisement of it so I tried my luck there." "I see." He thought as he rubbed the chin of his screen.
"And what about the radio demon?" He says with a tone that seemed more darker, "Oh, uh- Alas-" "Ah- ah," Vox hushed you with a finger to your face, "His name is not allowed in this building." Vox warns making you seemingly confused and curious, "Why so?" you asked making Vox huff a sigh while looking away in distaste, "He's a manipulative, deceiving smiling freak and whatever you do," Vox hovers over you with his height, "never make a deal with that prick." he says with darker demeanor, his left eye being wider than the other with an illusion of a hypnosis making you sink back and a change of your perspective of Alastor, "I see." You say as the elevator bell chimes, him backing off you and exiting the elevator first, his hands crossed behind his back.
You stepped out behind him, the halls were in different shades of blue. Similar to his colors. Seems like this floor was his, an employee of his appeared from the corner to tell him about his reports, seems like his assistant. They spoke below a whisper as you tried to catch up to Vox, only to hear mumbling and not understand what they seemed to speak about but it seems like none of your business.
Vox turned to you as his assistant sped off, down the hallway, "So how was it with Velvette?" he asked you, to start a conversation and try to ease your nerves that you obviously failed to hide, "I hope she hasn't been too harsh on you?" He asks, making you shake your head, "Oh no, not at all." you smiled, feeling yourself slowly at ease.
"This fashion thing has been quite fun, I have enjoyed it so far, the outfits are all so lovely." You rambled, not noticing the TV man gazing at your features from head to toe.
"Do you mind if I ask a few questions? How about over lunch? I'm sure you're hungry." he asked with a smile, making you seemingly agree, "Sure, I think I got time..." you said, not really sure if you did or not, you don't even know what time it was, don't even have a device to show it either. "Perfect, follow me, if you may." He chimed, leading you down the hall once again. You scratched your neck, tired from how busy today felt but hey, you're getting free lunch at least! And from someone who seems trustworthy to right?
You entered a room full of blue, two sofas and a table that sat neatly in between, he raised his hand to gesture you to sit across from him as he sat on the other sofa. Upon sitting down, he began to speak again, "So, how do you feel working with the V's?" Vox asked, making you sit up like it was an interview all of a sudden, "pretty great," you smiled again, "I'm not sure how important you guys are but seeing from how tall this building, i'm pretty you guys have quite the reputation." You say as you rested your hands together on your lap.
Vox snapped his fingers, a butler of his appearing with teacups and a teapot, "tea?" he asks. You happily nod and the butler had swiftly poured you a cup, "and is there anything specific you wanted to eat?" Vox questioned, speaking for the butler, "Ah, something simple would do." You say as you pick up the teaspoon and poured sugar cubes into your tea, stirring. You felt your worries ease away from his hospitality, seeming as he just wants to do business of the sort but you wanted to avoid making any deals whatsoever, hopefully you could come to an agreement rather than make enemies with them.
Vox snapped his fingers, signaling the butler to bow and leave for your meals. "Now back to topic, "How do you feel being the star of hell thanks to Velvette?" he asked, leaning back into the sofa as he cross legged, you almost spat out your tea in surprise, "Pardon??" You asked confused and worriedly, what if Lucifer sees you? recognizes you?? What would happen if he tried to reunite with you- "Being the star of hell! You're trending on every media there is." He explained, summoning a holograms of the trending titles, comments and photos of you that made you look ethereal and untouched. You sank in more of your worries, surely he doesn't recognize you at all from these thousands of years? Maybe you're overthinking this, what if he just simply doesn't care about you anymore cause of what you did, yeah, that's it, he shouldn't care about you anymore cause of what you done, "Oh, wow..." You blinked in surprise, putting down the tea, shaking away any lingering thoughts about Lucifer, "I'm not sure how to feel about this." you asked feeling worry drown you but also bashful from the comments that seemed to flood with nothing but pure positivity, that totally wasn't filtered for your viewing.
"You should get on mainstream media!" Vox raised his hands up while standing up from his seat enthusiastically, "start your new career here! A fallen star of beauty like yourself would have all of hell fawning for you." he persuaded, seemingly trying to get you to stay. You only stared blankly before smiling at him sheepishly, scratching your chin before admitting, "I- uhm, don't have a device for such things."
"You don't?" he raised a brow, blinking in surprise before smiling again, "then no worries! I run Voxtek, I produce technology." He says as he gestures towards an employee of his to go and get his assigned technology. "I'll get you a phone from my brand, free of charge." He smiles as he turned around to face the window, adjusting his tie, "Oh, you're too kind Mister Vox, thank you very much." You smiled, placing your tea back up, "It's no problem, I got a few more questions if you don't mind?" He kindly asked, making you comfortably nod for him to continue, "ask away."
"It may sound personal but I am wondering, as CEO of a news station," He points out as he stands up, "May I ask what abilities you possess? People all over hell are terrified of the star fall that happened during extermination day and it would put the people quite at ease if they understood what these stars did." He explained as he pulled out a star from his pocket, making you blink in surprise.
He gently placed the star into your hands and for some reason, having this star, overwhelmed you in comfort. "From extermination day, I had gotten this from an employee." He explains, taking out the part how his employee used it as a gift for Vox to spare their life.
"Thank you," You say genuinely, "and to answer your question," you say as you looked up at him holding the star, using your power to give energy to it, "My abilities are simple, the stars that rained on extermination day have stardust that heals, I was hoping it would rain dust so it could heal the people in hell," You explained, showing Vox the star that had star dust falling from it. You placed your hand under the star to collect its dust before rubbing it into your wings, feeling a cooling sensation on your feathers.
Vox was quite fascinated from the visual explanation, "that is a very unique power you have, Y/n." he complimented, sitting back down as his butler returned with two plates, "Your meal has arrived." The little guy stated as he put the food down onto the table, each in front of you both.
It wasn't long before two of his employees came back with a box, perfectly fit to hold a phone. The worker gave the box to Vox before leaving rather quickly, leaving the other member of staff standing there holding a tablet making Vox sigh, "what is it?" he said to the man while you ate your meal quietly, The assistant whispered while covering his face with a board to avoid hearing you.
"I see," Vox sighed, "I'll be there in ten." He waved off his assistant, letting him leave. You blinked as you sipped your tea again, Vox standing up and handing you the phone box, "Here you go Miss Shooting Star, I had it already prepared for you to use, making all the accounts and such," He turned away, "Sorry to end our conversation so abruptly but I have quite a few things I need to get to, feel free to stay as long as you'd like." He says before pulling up his phone, "And feel free to call me or Velvette if you need anything." He says as he smiled at you, turning away to call someone, leaving you alone in the room and your new device.
You blinked blankly from how quickly he left you there, you opened the box to see the device, perfect and new without a single scratch that's yet to be made. You turned it on, immediately noticing the time, it was literally afternoon, Charlie must be worried about you by now, making you quickly eat your meal before standing up to leave, taking a last sip of your tea and gathering a bit of dessert on a napkin to maybe give to Charlie as an apology.
You put your phone back into the box and into your pocket, holding the dessert in hand, leaving the room and walking down the hallways, reaching the elevator and sighing from how tired today had been for you. You kinda just wanted to go to the hotel and sleep for the next sixteen hours or so.
After a while the elevator chimed, signaling that you can enter. You stepped into the elevator, pushing the button down the first floor and standing idly by as the elevator music played, accompanying the silence.
It definitely took a while to get down to the first floor as you watched the number go down on the elevator, waiting for it to finally hit ground level. The elevator stopped after reaching the floor, chiming for the door to open and when it did, the whole first floor was full of paparazzi.
'Oh shit..' You say in your head, forgetting all about them from earlier.
It wasn't even a second later before they rushed to you to interview you and ask questions, making you immediately jolt back after stepping out the elevator. You thank the stars when VoxTek security pushed them back from you, sensing that Vox already had you covered for when you wanted to leave. You silently thanked him for that.
You felt relieved after leaving the building and finally being greeted with the outside. You felt even more grateful when the security made sure no news reporter or journalist tried to follow. You felt ecstatic when you could finally go to the hotel to rest or just talk to one of your friends again. You walked down the roads to try and remember where to go again to find the Hotel.
You looked up at the sky to see the dusty clouds and red skies, noticing the white glow of Heaven, you frowned as you stared at it, feeling a sense of melancholy. You shook your head, looking forward at the path again, trying to forget about your long lost home.
While walking down the city, you began to realize something.. people aren't running away from you, they are distant, yes, but they aren't avoiding you like the plague anymore, that itself made you smile, this fashion thing was actually doing you more of a favor than you anticipated. You thought that if you had a change of outfit, people would be more at ease but now people notice you and shrug it off, seemingly noticing you aren't considered an exterminator or threat anymore.
Obviously you can still be considered dangerous but they see now that you aren't here to paint the place more red than it already is.
"Hey, is that Y/n?" A familiar voice called, snapping you out of your thoughts. It was Angel dust and the rest of the group.
"Oh my gosh, Y/n!!" Charlie called out to you, running up to you in a hug, seemingly worried as you expected, "Oh, hey Char," You smiled in her squished embrace, "And guys." you say, waving to them from Charlie's hug.
"Where the hell have you been?" Angel asked, knowing damn well where you were. "Well uhh, I ran into this lady named Velvette and she kinda dragged me to their tower.. I dunno long story," You explained, being released by Charlie and giving her the dessert, smiling and saying it was for her, her eyes shined in joy, knowing she loves sweets.
Vaggie then walked up to you both, "well since you're here, care to join us?" she asked, making you nod, "sure! what are we doing then?" You question, "Todays assignment is trust exercises!" Charlie exclaims in excitement, eating the dessert you had gave her, sharing some to Vaggie.
"And.." Angel cut off, walking to you, "before we go, I need to ask ya somethin'," He says to you, his top arms holding your shoulders and the bottom two on his hips. He leaned down, whispering to you, "You didn't make any deals did ya?" He inquired, looking around to check if anyone was listening too close, "Uh, maybe.. why?" You asked, a tad confused, "Y/n!" He whispered shouted, cursing under his breath, "The V's are fuckin' bad people! nothing but trouble!" He continued to quietly shout at you, shaking you, "We'll talk about this later," He sighs, leaning away from you, "come on guys." Angel sighs, leading the way to the next location for your exercise of the day.

"So Velvette," Vox says as he sat in his desk, "did you get her to sign a deal?" he asked as he rested his screen under his hands, Velvette doing her usual antics as she tapped away on her phone, "ugh, she avoided signing any deal, the bitch pushed away the contract like she knew," She rolled her eyes, "only managed to come to an agreement." she finished as she rolled in her seat as Vox sat to think, "what was the agreement?" "i'd give her a new fancy outfit or trinket to her liking in return for work, it's such a drag," she scoffed, "especially when you told me to agree to her terms no matter what! You owe me for that y'know." Velvette reminded Vox as he smiled.
"All in due time my dear," he says as he stood from his seat as Velvette deadpans, knowing his schemes, "thanks to you, we're one step closer to have that star in our grasps." "uh-huh" Vel says as her phone chimes from each tap on her mobile keyboard, Vox frowning from her unenthusiastic demeanor.

After following Angel to who-knows-where, you kinda wish you just slept in or something.
“Angel! What the actual fuck?” Vaggie asks as you sank back into the group, wanting to avoid any interaction of what this place was.
You slipped your phone from your pocket to distract yourself as Angel and Vaggie dispute their differences.
You opened your phone, seemingly to try and understand the device, it was quite interesting to have as you tapped random applications, opening to random medias, videos and photos.
After a bit you collectively took note of what each button did or how they functioned.
Soon you began to start liking posts, finding the search bar and started searching your interests, liking those as well.
You blinked away when Husk ran past you, exiting the building, reminding you where you even were.
You noticed Vaggie saying something to Angel you couldn’t quite catch as she held Charlie away from the rather unique individuals that surrounded her.
“It’s no big deal, Vaggie,” Charlie tried to assure her, “You know maybe I can just help, uh—“
“I’m gonna step outside while I wait,” You spoke, “This place isn’t quite pleasant to stay in.” You input, trying to not take in the sight of the building you were in more than you had to. Charlie and Vaggie looked at you with empathy and understanding but Vaggie still had a goal set in for herself today, “No. I told you, you could trust me,” Vaggie turned to Charlie as you sank away from the room, leaving the building to wait instead.
Stepping outside felt more refreshing that you took a deep breath, sighing in relief.
“You too, eh?” a familiar deep voice spoke, Husk leaning on the wall, “Yeah,” You smiled, “Was a little too cramped in there.” You say as you approached him to stand nearby, trying to make small talk.
“Mhm.” he said dryly, crossing his arm as his feathers rested against the brick wall of the building, noticing the details of his feathers in perfect condition, making you side eye your wings that still needed recovery, usually they’d be healed by now but since you’re in hell, maybe your body is adjusting differently, slowly.
“Here,” Husk says as he reaches his hand out, “Found it wandering about.” You reach for the item in his paws curiously.
You sensed it as soon as the trinket fell into your hands, a faint star, one from extermination, still dimly glowing.
“Wh-“ You were at a loss of words, “Where’d you get it?” You asked, wanting to know more specifically.
Husk leaned down against the bricks again, “Literally on the street,” He waved his arm up, his hand pointed toward the road, “they’re rolling around all over hell you know.” He says as he turned to face you, in which you looked back at him with doe eyes, pupils seemingly glittered like galaxies with a smile, “Thank you, Husk!” You chimed, holding the star in your hands before emitting your ability of stardust to clean the star off from the residue it had collected.
“Sure.” Husk says as he turned away, his smile sinking through his facade.
Seeing you act like a child who just got candy made him feel slightly less dull today.
You and Husk turned your attention when the buildings door opened, Vaggie exiting the building first, then Charlie and then the rest. Nifty stepping out last.
“Alright let’s go.” Vaggie demanded, everyone following her, Husk groaned before treading behind the group.
You wandered a little behind, focused on the star before a figure slithered beside you, “Oh! Miss Y/n, did you find another?” Sir Pentious spoke, his hisses being noticeable in his words.
“Well, yeah! Actually it’s thanks to Husk, he just found one walking about.” You smiled as you held it dearly in your hands as you walked.
“I do hope I can find more before they fade away.” You spoke but more towards yourself, “Well, maybe we can since we’re walking around the city for now.”
“Plus they seem to be posted and trending all over Sinstagram.” Angel butt in, towering between you and Sir Pentious.
“Wait- really??” You say as you placed the star onto your chest like a pin, pulling out your phone to open Sinstagram on your device, typing away on the search bar to find anything, the search being:
Shooting Star
Falling stars
Stars from the sky
Or anything related to the terms.
You did find photos of peculiar sinners finding them all around hell like trophies, some even being pitched in for sales and it irked you. They aren’t for sale! They existed to heal the wounds that the angels decided to give to the sinners and they’re treating them like this??
You wish you could just recover faster, your weak state making you only to create for now, in order to recall your creations or even locate them, it requires honed focus and a calm state but you were beyond stressed from the life you had to live now and your wings still bother you with an ache and a sting now and then.
“Alright, we’re here.” Vaggie spoke up before guiding us to walk in the building, the surroundings being eerily quiet.
Suddenly when reaching the top, loud echoes of bullets being fired filled the silence, Charlie looked over the building, noticing the surroundings and where we all were gathered together in, “This is how you trust people?” Charlie shouted in surprise, arms raising over the edge as everyone looked over as well.
Vaggie stood tall and proud of her idea, confident in this plan being effective.
You sank back, not really feeling at ease with violence being a ‘fond’ memory.
“There is nothing stronger than the trust between comrades and arms.” Vaggie spoke, her voice sounding more of the tone of an elite soldier, “Buckle up, butter cups, because today you boys become men!” She smiles as an explosion erupts nearby, the impact making her hair flow by making her smile all the more intimidating.
“You,” Vaggie says as she approached Sir Pentious who tried to flail his arms in defense, “are going to survive together!” She says as she swooped him up and threw him over the building, Angel being next, meaning it was your cue to run.
You tried to slip away, Husk too! When trying to reach for the door Vaggie grabbed ahold of you, making you freeze from fight or flight, “wait- wait, wait!” you tried to explain, “i’m an angel! I can’t fight sinners!” You tried to reason, “Just use your fists, you’ll do fine!” Vaggie says as she threw you over, “My wings arent even healed!” You shouted as you fell into the dirt with an “oof.” Your heart beginning to race in panic, this feels all too familiar.
You picked yourself up, faintly hearing Charlie from atop the building, an explosion made you whip your head to the noise it erupted from, trying to sneak somewhere to safety.
You can hear Angel screaming in the distance, cursing at Vaggie as he fought off an enemy on the field.
You noticed Sir Pentious who was pinned under a sinner who was swinging at him, making you anxious, surely you could do something?!
Then it clicked.
You pulled the star off your dress, using your mana to collect its stardust, before pouring it back onto the star like glitter, making the star hover and spin in your hands like a disc.
Perfect.
You held the star with a wave of your finger before swishing it around to Pentious, knocking the sinner off of him in a swift manor, helping Sir Pentious escape the field and take cover.
You didn’t want to hurt sinners, that was not your objective.
You made the star solid enough to hurt like a nickel being smacked at you from a slingshot, surely that doesn’t hurt right?
Well at least it doesn’t kill them.
An enemy noticed your presence and hid away to plan a sneak attack as you helped Sir Pentious.
The serpent managed to take cover behind Angel Dust who was fighting off demons, making you turn your attention to him to assist.
You used star dust like a string, retracting the star between the string like a rubber-band, imitating a slingshot with the ‘L’ shape of your thumb and finger.
You had one eye shut as you aligned the star to your victim and released, the star smacking the back of their head to immobilize the opponent.
Angel looked at your direction before smiling at your striking shot, raising up an arm in victory.
You smiled like it was a silly game, before Angels smiled faded.
“Y/n! watch out!” Angel warned, making you turn.
An explosion echoed, making you duck for cover from the loud sound it impacted on the building next to you.
The building was old and ruined, abandoned and full of debris.
That debris was falling right above you, you spread your wings to make a swift escape only to realize-
“god damn it.” You groaned from the typical situation.
Wings are still healing.
You dodged as much as you could from the falling building, the debris colliding with the ground and it fogging up the area in dust particles making you cough.
Angel ran up to you in concern, trying to find your whereabouts in the dust.
“Y/n? y’good?” He called.
“I’m fine!” You chimed in reluctance as the smoke of dust cleared, “phew, that was a close one.” You huffed a laugh, looking at Angel who stood and raised a brow.
“D’yehh, not sure ‘bout dat one.” He looked away from your predicament that you hadn’t seemed to catch onto just yet.
You turned to see what he seemed to notice, your smile fading as it seemed, uhm.
Your legs were mangled under a large broken wall that fell atop you.
You blinked as it seems the adrenaline hasn’t let you process the pain you were about to feel very soon before simply shouting a very calmly,
“WHAT THE FUCK-“
✧•✧•✧•✧•✧•✧•✧
Charlie bandaged your legs as you sat on the sofa in the small parlor, the rest of the group laughing about the fight in the field.
Your legs were fucked but it’s fine, totally fine.
Not like you can fly either.
“I’ll be sure to help you into your room, do you want to go now?” Charlie asked with sincerity, her voice laced with care and sympathy for the incident.
You simply shook my head, “No, I wanna stay here for a while longer for now, thank you though.” You smiled before Charlie got up to leave, putting away the first-aid that was there when you first arrived.
You joined in on the laughter, the banter about the war zone you all survived in.
The smiles you all shared together eased the pain of what happened to you but it also seemed to light something in your heart.
Something that subtly settled the yearning that silently screamed your subconscious.
Having someone to be around with.
Having Company.
Having a friend.
