Lulz.
Neatorama (an 'interesting things' agglutination blog I follow) posted about an article where geneticists have proven that about 4% of our DNA has Neanderthal origins. Which is interesting and all (and not surprising, since the 'fight it or fuck it' mindset is kind of inherent to homo sapiens.)
What's more amusing (because I find humor in rampant idiocy) is the commentary at the bottom that blossomed into fulgurous life in the article's wake. Usually Neatorama readers are pretty with it (it's not Cracked), but these two... one of them was so ramblingly pretentious it literally doesn't make any sense (I THINK the person was trying to be esoterically metaphysical and failing). The other is a sugar frosted Jesus Crispy who rants for an entire paragraph about never letting such "fake science" taint his precious unsullied mind.
I just have to laugh. Because otherwise I have a vague urge to strain the gene pool and it ain't to remove the Neanderthals...(who in common theory were a gentle, hardy, and spiritual people.)
Here's the link if you're curious at all.
