I had high expectations for this game, and it not only met them but exceeded them. Great story, great gameplay, and great designs—Lumentale has become one of my favorites this year.

i bought Lumentale yesterday but unfortunetly it wont start on my steamdeck.

looking for a fix i realized they are already selling DLC while their steampage is full with bug reports

LumenTale: Memories of Trey releases today for the Switch and Steam.

Saw LumenTale on the Switch 2 shop, and was like hey wait a second, @tulipsnflowers told me about this one ages ago and I just never fully looked into it. That's coming out soon, huh? Wife is excited, been a bit since we got a monster catching game, but I'm talking about this because we watched the Steam trailer and the apparent starters seem to have split evolution paths. I love that. It was one of my favorite bits about Cassette Beasts. I also really like the silhouette suggestions, which seem to imply that evolution branches actually change artistic direction too. Like, a lot of them seem to have one that's more elegant and one that seems more tough, and I kinda like that, design-wise, it doesn't seem like there's a way to go wrong with any particular starter. We'll be planning to pick this one up when it comes out, probably not until the weekend of but you get the idea.
