My dumb DP concept involving Valerie and Clockwork
So I don’t know how many Danny Phantom fans like MLP: FiM, but I know I do. And for those of you who don’t know, MLP did an episode that was pretty much a more dramatic version of A Christmas Carol, and we get this amazing song called Luna’s Future (I personally like a fan extended version a bit better, but it got removed from YT). I like to listen to it and think of Clockwork in place of Luna/The Spirit of Hearth’s Warming Future because I think it’d be fitting for him. Eventually I settled on Valerie being Snowfall Frost because she was the only female character that I could think of that seemed fitting for the role.
And that got me thinking, we’ve seen a bad future caused by Danny, but what about one caused by Valerie?
My idea is this: What if Valerie and Danny got into a fight somewhere that released wendigos, who proceeded to start covering the Earth in snow. Before Danny can go retrieve them, Valerie, who still hasn’t let go of her grudge against ghosts yet, incapacitates Danny so he can't hunt them down. Valerie would then try to catch them by herself, and fails.
And that’s when Clockwork steps in. He would appear to Valerie and take her to the future, showing her a world encased in snow. Everyone’s been frozen in ice, and Valerie sees this. Perhaps Valerie would try to attack Clockwork, perhaps she wouldn’t. But when she’s willing to listen, Clockwork tells her that her decision to fight Phantom because of her grudge allowed the wendigos to grow powerful enough to point no one, ghost or ghost hunter, could stop them. Then, as if to emphasize this, Dan flies overhead pursing a wendigo, and being pursed by more wendigos. We’re shown him using his pyrokinesis trying to win a losing battle against the wendigos, and that not even his unrivaled strength is enough to subdue them all.
Valerie then pleads with an unmoving Clockwork to show her a better future, or some way to change it as the snow piles up. Clockwork tells her this is the future she caused by letting her grudge against Phantom to blind her, and that she must accept it. Valerie continues to plead out of anger and desperation for a way to change the future as the snow piles further. Despite her struggling, it eventually piles high enough to cover her.
Then, suddenly she’s back to watching the wendigos fly free. Phantom is still there, watching the wendigos fly past. Valerie still doesn’t like him, but this time she realizes she has to put aside her grudge for a greater good. They truce and work together to round up and lock away the wendigos. Then Valerie lets Phantom go, and she walks away thinking maybe Phantom isn’t as bad as she thought.
Or at least that's what I have worked out so far. It’s been a while since I saw episodes with Valerie, so I can’t tell if this is quite accurate to her personality, but I think this concept would be pretty good.
