thinking about how Eda is specifically yelling at luz before she turns into her owl beast form in keeping up a-fear-ances. She’s looking at luz almost the entire time she’s yelling and never at her mother. She expects this from her mom, but she trusts and respects Luz enough to feel betrayed, and rightfully so imho. I like that despite Luz “just being a kid” she’s still given accountability for her actions. She made a mistake, she hurt someone she cared about (with good intention but that alone is never enough) and she doesn’t get to use Eda’s mom as a scapegoat.
