He had been in the process of packing up what few belongings he had when G’raha heard the knock on his door. His ears twitched as his head canted over toward it. Without even opening it he knew who would be on the other side; his hearing might not have been as strong as that of a viera’s, and there were times he felt that it had dulled during his century spent becoming entombed in crystal, but it still served him well enough.
That, plus Y’shtola would have simply barged in, Urianger and Krile both would have announced themselves, Alisaie was just as likely to push her way inside, and Thancred, Alphinaud, and Estinien would have found another time to approach him instead of when he was in the privacy of his own room. There was really only one person that would wait without immediately announcing who they were.
“It’s open.” Saying that wasn’t really needed, but it seemed to provide a level of comfort. As he spoke G’raha’s focus returned to his task at hand. Most of his books had already been shipped back to the Baldesion Annex, which left clothing and items of sentimentality.
