!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH QUE OUI (sorry for the frenchyness below - this is all headcanons about Donnie speaking/learning French !!)

Je headcanon en général que Donnie songe à devenir polyglotte (*ahem* comme moi *AHEM*). Il sait que plus de langues il apprend, mieux il peut se rendre utile dans diverse situations où lui et ses frères feraient face à une barrière linguistique.

J’aime imaginer que Donnie aime bien la langue française en général, non seulement parce que c’est une langue qui est chiante à apprendre côté grammaire (FUCK YOU DICTIONNAIRE ET BESCHERELLE GNNGNGNGNGNGN)(donc pour lui c’est un challenge bien accepté) mais surtout parce qu’elle est très poétique. S’il a un(e) S/O qui sait parler français, il va adorer parler dans cette langue avec eux et surtout faire chier ses frères parce qu’ils vont rien comprendre xD

Au début, son accent anglophone ressort énormément, mais plus il va se pratiquer, mieux ce sera. Donnie apprend vite et n’aspire qu’au meilleur de lui-même dans la grande majorité des sphères de sa vie.

J’explore justement ce HC dans ma fanfic Across the Stars - il apprend à parler français à cause de mon personnage, Vee !

Yeah, sure! I mean, I would love to do something with this other than just draw cute little things. You know, like, actually try writing it. But I’m hilariously bad at finishing the stuff I write… haha I genuinely wasn’t planning to reveal anything of substance about it, but I also don’t have any reason not to. At the end of the day, it’s just something I made up to keep myself motivated to draw, which is kind of my job sooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok, it’s essentially a pretty classic rom-com set in Naples (I was gonna stay in Capua, but shit I mean Naples just kinda seems uh… more exciting and ✨🌹romantic🌹✨). It has a fun little meet-cute and only good vibes because I don’t want to make myself sad.

The gist of it is Agron is a 30-something overworked journalist/writer from Germany. His work lacks a bit of hm… life lately, so he’s softly forced to take a vacation by his editor. And probably later relentlessly bullied to actually go through with it by his brother. He has this little group of online friends who bonded over being history nerds, one of them lives in Naples and has a really fucking nice Airbnb. Said friend suggests they should finally meet each other for real and wow that works out conveniently, doesn’t it? (I'm being deliberately vague on who these friends are. It’s a fun mystery lol) So the man goes to Naples and it is there, where he will meet the one, the only… the love of his life… Nasir.
