This stunning piece was over three months in the making. Watching Ernest come to life with each new update was kind of like getting a masterclass in how to paint. I’m so grateful to Lilit for making an exception, and taking on this commission for our fandom!

It goes beyond the place itself. It’s the certainty that wherever Lance is, wherever he goes, he will have the right to return there and fill the spot by his side. It’s the incredible realization that, after a life of wandering, he finally found it. He finally gets it.

I commissioned my friend @lycorislilit​ and this is the wonderful piece for the epilogue of my klance post-canon fic “you’re always welcome here”. It’s the complement to the piece she drew me for ch 2, how awesome is that? 😭
