Allison hadn’t assumed Lydia to be a very touchy person—maybe it was just because of her sarcastic attitude and brooding, gothic style...Either way, she hadn’t expected the hug and she smiled in surprising, returning the embrace before letting the other go with a slightly bemused remark. “You’re affectionate today. Did that love spell I tried from the book you showed me work?” she joked.
