Jokes.         Always     with     the     jokes.         Really     it     was     the     only     way     he     knew     how     to     deal     with     these     sorts     of     things .         He     breathes     through     the     pain,     which     was     at     the     least     dulled     by     the     shock     and     the     medication     they     had     imported     to     Sargasso.         He     was     fairly     good     at     dealing     with     high-    stress     situations,     especially     when     he     was     the     one     injured,     which     contrasted     his     nervous     demeanor     that     most     all     saw     during     work     hours     in     the     bar.         He     younger     male     continues     to     allow     the     doctor     to     work     while     he     breathes     quietly     and     remains     as     still     as     possible,     while     Maggie     paces     nervously,     like     a     caged     animal,     at     the     doorway     of     the     room .

All     at     once     he     feels     more     than     a     bit     embarrassed     as     he’s     scooped     up     by     the     large     ape ,     as     if     he’s     nothing     but     a     pup  .         He     wriggles     around     nervously     in     the     tyrant’s     grip     before     freezing     up     entirely ,     heart     thumping     in     his     chest .         With     a     nervous     expression ,     he     looks     up     to     the     primate     to     scan     his     face     and     see     who     exactly     was     grabbing     him ,     and     why .

Does Coyote trust Andross?

Coyote doesn’t trust Andross but he doesn’t outright want to hate him and shut himself out to any self-reflection in terms of Corneria, and General Pepper. He feels very strongly about both General Pepper and Andross, he thinks they’re both made very huge mistakes, most of what he’s heard and seen is the talk of all the lives lost in the experiment gone wrong. It really shook him up and it upset him so much that he tried to find anywhere he could to try and donate to the survivors and rebuilding of the community there. 

Like Andross, Coyote cares very deeply about all life, though he seeks to protect it in a different way, that similarity in views is not lost on Coyote. He tries to be polite to Andross anytime he sees him, tries not to bother him but isn’t rude either. He stays out of the way and tries not to rock the boat so to speak because he is very much scared of him and what he can do.

While he doesn’t always talk to him he tries to keep an eye on him, how he acts, how he talks to people, his expressions. He keeps his head down but he’s very much on guard around him. Out of everyone in Sargasso, Andross terrifies him the most but he would very much like to ask a lot of questions about Pepper, Corneria, and all of that.

Coyote also knows he’s incredibly easy to manipulate because of his empathy and compassion, so he’d try to be more on guard just in case. He’s definitely not innocent, not that Andross is either, as he has a few biases and beliefs on Andross based on the Cornerian media and propaganda, but he tries to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and the ability to defend themselves.

In the end, Coyote doesn’t currently trust him but he values the work he did do for Corneria and all the help he gave to the Venomians that weren’t able to make their way to Corneria or couldn’t stay because of specism. He’s cautious but once he gets the chance to find common ground he’d be more willing to be less wary of him. Currently, though the trust needs to be built, and he very much appreciates all the help he gets from Andross wholeheartedly.
