Simon's yell makes Jay, Gray and Clara all stop, staring at the oldest male with a look. He laughs, waving them all inside the hospital room. Ly lays on the bed, waving softly at them.
"What do you mean your a dad?" Jay asked nervously.
"I thought you were my uncle," Clara whispered.
They watch as Simon picks up a small bundle of pink blankets, he smiles softly and wiggles his finger at the baby. Jay and Gray's jaw drop and Clara blinks rapidly.
"Meet little Soeah," Simon smiled, "And her sister, Misun,"
Everyone huddled around Simon, cooing softly at the two babies in his arms. Ly smiled at how happy Simon looked, holding both his daughters in his arms.
"Kiseok," Ly whispered, "Hand me Misun,"
Looking down at his daughters, Simon blinked. Which one was which...? He glanced at Ly with a distressed look.
“Baby, their identical,”
"The left one," Ly laughed softly.
Simon grinned as he let Ly lift the new born baby from his arms, cradling the little girl close to herself.
"But, Ly wasn't pregnant?" Gray furrowed his brows together.
"I had a hidden pregnancy," Ly smiled softly, "Believe me, they scared us more then you expected,"
"I'm a sister," Clara grabbed Jay and Gray's arms, "Bitch, I am an older sister!"
The statement makes both Ly and Simon look up with wide eyes, Ly’s hand is resting on her stomach as she winces in pain. There has to be a mistake, she had no signs of pregnancy, no morning sickness, no missed periods, nothing. Of course, her thoughts are taken back when the doctor places an ultrasound on front of them.
“This makes no sense, how am I thirty weeks pregnant?” Ly asked.
“You’ve experienced whats called a hidden pregnancy, there a one in four hundred chance,” The doctor explained, “The twins-”
“Twins?!” Simon gasped.
“Yes, your having twins,” The woman smiled, “The twins, despite being thirty weeks into development, are quite small, we believe it may have to do with the father being older,”
Ly winced again from pain as Simon blinked.
“Are you saying their unhealthy because of me?” Simon sounded offended.
“No, they appear to be quite healthy, enough so that your in labor,”
“I’m in labor?!” Ly almost screamed and Simon softly grabbed her shoulders, rubbing soothing circles into her skin in an attempt to calm her down.
She held her stomach again in pain, it made sense. The pain was similar to the one she had experienced with Jaesun although her son had been bigger and she was very much aware that he was coming.
“Thirty weeks is early though,” Ly gasped out, “Jaesun was early too but he wasn’t this early,”
“We need to get you to the maternity ward as soon as possible,” The doctor smiled, “We haven’t seen the gender of the baby yet because your in labor,”
Ly swallowed thickly as herself and Simon were guided to the maternity ward, it had been five years since she’d last been here. The beds were still uncomfortable and the rooms still somewhat dark, Simon seemed silent during the whole situation, taking the seat next to her.
She frowned softly at him.
“I’m sorry,” She whispered.
“What?” Simon looked up at her.
“That I’m pregnant,” Ly sighed, “I honestly had no idea or I would have told you,”
Simon smiled, “You don’t need to be sorry, we both made the babies after all, it’s just a bit shocking is all, I’m about to be a dad and I just found out,”
Ly gave a smile and softly held his hand, “You should call your parents,”
He nodded slowly, “What do I tell them? ‘Oh yeah, Ly is in labor with twins we both had no idea about and your about to be grand parents?’”
She laughed at his comment, covering her mouth slightly as Simon leaned forward, a gentle smile on his lips as he kissed her nose.
“You’ll figure it out, Appa,” Ly poked her tongue out.
“Oh my god,” Simon laughed, “Just let me call them,”
Another wave of pain made Ly groan and Simon placed his hand on her stomach, softly rubbing as the pain subsided slowly. Ly softly placed her hand over his own, taking deep breaths.
“Can you please keep your hand there?” Ly breathed out, “They seemed to calm down a little bit with you here,”
