While good at sports, Lynn’s strength lies in sprints and throws. She is good at ensuring outcome but not so much in guaranteeing entertainment. Performance to her are numbers and grades, measured and quantified.
Watching Jiang dance, her brows furrow. She is nervous but refuses to show it. Memorising every move while simultaneously coming up with an excuse, she starts grinding her teeth.
“It would be nice if you showed as much enthusiasm in maths as you do your dance,” she looks at him, hoping he will take the bait and let this go.
