Someone asked if she signed up and she said no and she didn’t even think about it she wants to play mcc for fun but she’s also competitive and just like valo when she’s on a losing streak she needs some time to cool off especially because she has come last multiple times - so I guess just being upset about her previously unbalanced teams
That really fucking sucks what the hell 😞 I fully understand Tina though, I'm much the same way—I LOVE competition but when I know that I'm going to be competing against people way better than me it's discouraging, especially with the consistent weakness of her teams that Mar described really well here :(
I don't hate the balancing system, I believe it's well-intended to help out weaker players, but it's done the exact opposite of what it's supposed to with Tina and instead has consistently set her up to fail. MCC is hard enough for newbies and non-pvpers as-is, so pairing her with another near-40 average player is cruel. Foolish being overestimated by the balancing algorithm Scott uses doesn't help either, and thus even with an S-tier on her teams, there's not really any chance for her to have a breakout performance. If she's signing up for a competitive team, it feels very unfair to put her on teams like the ones that she's gotten.
A team that I think would be really fun for her and also pretty fair is Punz, Foolish, Hannah/Sylvee, and Tina (or even swapping Foolish out and keeping both of Hanvee). It's competitive, comprised of her close friends, and honestly has a pretty damn good shot at winning too! Especially now that Dream's stepped back, that team would be able to get a lot of value from tapping into his coaching abilities. IMO, even a SNF-Toosh team wouldn't be super overpowered with how little they've played MC recently, and would be both competitive enough to win and fun enough for her to have a great time hanging with friends. This is all just to say that there are some pretty easy ways to balance Tina properly with her friends, so she can compete while also having fun, and it's really fucking sad that instead of that experience, she's discouraged from even signing up because she's never in a position to enjoy herself fully :(
