I know you don’t talk about ATLA anymore, but the new adult Gaang movie leaked recently, so I was wondering what you think about it cause I really enjoyed all your takes on the show and the characters. You and Peacockarehot really broadened my understanding on these characters and made me both love and mourn them even more, especially Katara, Zuko and Aang. So, I just wanted to hear your take on their portrayal in this new movie.

anyways! i haven't watched the new movie. i don't intend to watch the new movie. atla was a wonderful show that i enjoyed as a child, and then returned to as a young adult and enjoyed it again through the new eyes adulthood had given me. it's also as far as i'm concerned said all i'm interested in hearing during the actual show. they had lightning in a bottle in that writers' room and that writers' room had never reconvened.

i might have a look at the movie at some point when it's legally out just too 'ooh' and 'aah' at the cool visuals (it does look like it's a spectacle) but i'm someone who gave up like. halfway through season 2 of korra bc it just lacked the spark i found in the og show.

honestly to me it all feels like someone re-exhumed my childhood pony and is beating its bones with each other.
