Verse: Children of the Night
A Verse specifically for Rio and Ryoto who in this AU are Vampires, this is inspired by @porcelainghosts tbh
Both of them were turned against their will, Rio was first, and was personally turned by Matheiu. Ryoto was later turned after being beaten to the brink of death by Matheiu, who forced Rio to give him her blood to turn him. After that, they were forced to work for Cerberus. Becoming another pair of killers, under the thumb of the same who turned them in the first place.
As such, they take advantage of their newfound abilities. They’re stronger, faster, and heal faster and can hypnotize some people. Rio however is in more control of her abilities due to actively practicing using them. Ryoto on the other hand only really uses his physical skills as well as heightened senses. The transformation is much easier for Rio to control, as well as her hunger. Ryoto is good about controlling his hunger, but when he feeds, he tends to kill the target.
There are two outcomes for this:
Rio stays with Cerberus and joins the fold, giving herself over to the power that comes with being a vampire. Needless to say, she and Ryoto separate after this. Neither can quite bring themselves to fighting the other, and actively avoid one another. Ryoto goes into hiding, but vows to himself that he’ll kill every vampire that stands in his way. Maybe then he can get his sister back.
Rio joins Cerberus, and plots to bring down a branch from the inside, she then later reconstructs the branch to suit her own needs. Namely as an information gathering operation as well as a place to hunt down other vampires in Cerberus. It’s an uphill battle, but the twins don’t separate and work together to ensure that something like this never happens again.
