“ if i had to choose one person — it’d have to be my grandpa or my cousin. ” in all truth, she realizes there aren’t many people she lets get past her thick walls of happiness. they don’t look all too intimidating, she assumes, probably like a field of sunflowers but all too easy to get lost in. when she lets herself dwell on the past, if she does, she gets lost herself so she doesn’t — taeeun avoids thinking of the past if she can and it’s one reason why she runs around so much. if you stay busy, you don’t think too much. that’s been her logic for the past few years and it’s served her well so far so why stop a good thing when it’s going?
“ what does that mean? knows me the best? because if we’re talkin’ about work, then it’ll have to be jae as annoying as he is sometimes. ” in all ways except title ( at his insistence, to be clear ), he is her assistant manager so he’s kind of a work best friend, right? if anything, she thinks of jae as someone who makes life easier when working, someone who keeps her on track for managerial tasks when she’d much rather work her station, and she wonders why it is her after all. maybe she doesn’t even know herself too well. “ what do you think it means? ”
