Ozzy let out a frustrated breath, scratching Q’s back lightly before withdrawing his hand.

“How long do you think, then?” He asked, picking up the mug of tea once more to blow on it for him before offering it to him. “It’s nearly midnight, c'mon now.”

Q shrugged and tore himself away from his screen to look at Ozzy.    ‘ I don’t know. A while probably. ’  His eyes shifted to the mug.   ‘ You’ve made me tea. ’  Q stated. If he had been more awake, he’d have thanked him for the tea. Given him a kiss for it, a smile. Now his mind found it difficult to focus on anything that wasn’t coding. Cold hands folded over the mug. ‘ I don’t mind working late. ’  he mumbled.

Revelling in his touches, she clung to his warmth as she slowly drifted off. She always did have a certain appreciation for his embrace.

“No…some dumb fuck decided it’d be a great idea to take a hand home last night so the morgue was shut down and class cancelled. I was going to lead the dissection today!”

It was then that he opened his eyes, looking at her in a tired yet affectionate gaze.  ❝ But I’m sorry. I’m sure you’ll be able to lead the dissection next time, don’t worry. ❞

Harry threw his arm up as the light hit his eyes and for a moment a mess of dirty curls, was shielded by a dusty jacket, throwing a shadow over his eyes, obscuring them.

“...My answer hasn’t  changed.” he croaked, a little more tired, but never the less as defiant as the other umpteen times he’d barked it.
