“It wasn't on purpose.” He assured her, wiping down the glasses. Sheila pursed her lips, angrily glaring at the table she was cleaning. Two sprays of disinfectant before she wiped it down and moved to the next one. Every so often her hand would slip off the table or she'd miss entirely and the more she did, the angrier she got. The angrier she got, the more mistakes she clumsily made. Sheila was so good at navigating around the bar, Ipos hadn't even thought about it when he'd let go of the crook of her elbow. It had only been for a second, anyway. She'd slammed straight into the support beam and stood back, surprised. The sound reverberated through the bar and the people around them paused to see if she was okay. There was a full minute of heavy silence before, almost comically, her nose erupted with blood. It was like a morbid Benny Hill sketch. “I'm sorry I laughed at you.” He tried again. “I didn't mean to- I wasn't thinking.” “It was humiliating, Ipos!” she yelled, and threw the rag down on the table. Slowly, it slid off the edge and too the floor, and when she reached for it and found that it was no longer there, she stamped her foot. “Fuck it! This is stupid. I've had enough.” He jumped the bar and caught her by the wrists before she'd even made it half way to the door. “I said I was sorry, Sheila.” “I get it! I'm blind, it's so hilarious, isn't it!” she struggled against his hold. “You're not supposed to laugh at me! I don't care when the others do it but I hate it when you do!” She stopped struggling when he pulled her into a hug, and instead just stood there, absolutely glowering. “I know. I'm the worst.” “You are! You're the worst.” “You know it doesn't mean anything to me, Sheila. I know you're just as-” She shoved him, but his bulk barely moved. “Oh, cram it! Don't patronise me.” Ipod slid his hold down to her hands instead, giving them what he hoped was a comforting squeeze. “I wouldn't fuck around with you, you know? If you weren't capable, you wouldn't be working here. You're not getting paid to stand around and look nice--” “Wait, I get paid?” “--it's because I know half the shit I can do, you can do better.” Although she was clearly comforted by his words, she was still glaring at the empty blackness in front of her. “Damn right I can.” He put the rag back in her hand. “Now get back to wiping the tables- since, you know, you're better at it than me.” Sheila slapped him across the chest with it, but he just laughed.
They worked in silence for a bit, but the air wasn't as tense as it'd felt before. Although Sheila was still fighting to keep up her pout, but when she didn't know he was looking, she'd kind of smile to herself. Seeing her smile at nothing was making him smile, and it was so embarrassingly lame, he leaned over a table and slapped her ass to make the whole thing less sappy. She jumped, turning on her heel and glaring in his general direction. “What? It wasn't me.” “You're such an ass!” He grinned, and she was grinning too. He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close. “Ipos--” He paused for a moment, but then she took his hand. “You're cleaning up after this.” He laughed, kissing along her neck. She tucked her hair back and tilted her head, wrapping her arms around his neck. “Who says I'm gonna make a mess?” “Oh, please. Can you do anything neatly?” Ipos gripped her thighs and lifted her up onto one of the tables; Sheila made a surprised noise, which only made him laugh harder, so she gripped his cheeks and kisses him, biting harshly at his lip. His laughter broke off into a moan, and he eagerly kissed her back. He slid his hand over the soft curve of her stomach and up to her chest, lifting her shirt up with it. She hadn't bothered with a bra. Gently, he cupped her breast, laying her back on the table. Ipos leaned down, sliding his hands down her thighs as he laid kisses across her stomach. It went on for a while like that, him listening to her quiet, calm breathing. Sheila sat up long enough to pull her shirt up and off, and Ipos took that as his queue to do the same. Wrapping her legs around his waist, she gripped his bicep and kissed him again, letting him ease her mouth open and slide his tongue across her bottom lip. Fumbling a bit, he reached between them and unbuttoned her shorts, and she wiggled her hips a bit to help him slide them down and off. He hooked her legs over his biceps, kissing the inside of her knee tenderly before arching forward to press his hardness against the thin material of her panties. Sheila and Ipos had always kind of balanced each other out. If there was anything she appreciated about their friendship, it was that what one of them lacked, the other had in abundance. -And while normally his patience helped, since she had, well- none- it was times like that that it drove her insane. She was wet and practically aching for him, but Ipos was content to keep kissing across her ribs, sucking marks into her skin. Every time she opened her mouth to hurry him up, he'd flick his thumb across her clit, which drew the breath out of her lungs and left her speechless. She was sure he knew what he was doing to her, but she still tugged harshly at his hair, trying to force his hot mouth down some more so she could trap him between her legs, desperate for even a bit of release. She wasn't going to beg, no matter how arousing or hilarious he found it. He could jack of into his fist for all she cared. “Please~” She whined, literally seconds after thinking that thought. Fuck. He lifted his head, grinning at her. “I'm sorry, who was it that complained last time I 'skipped' foreplay?” “Okay, that was just sloppy. But you're talking too long!” He smiled, mostly to himself, and gently spread her legs to either side of his hips. She wrapped her legs around him, holding herself in place, and he reached down to unzip his jeans. Ipos slid his fingers through hers, half pinning her hand to the table while he held it so they didn't tip. He got half-way deep with one thrust, and her mouth opened to an 'O' shape. “Oh,” she said. Ipos grinned, slowing drawing out before thrusting back in again, her whole body rocking with the motion. Sheila threw her head back, exposing her neck to him, so he leaned down to kiss and lick down to her collarbone, leaving a rather large hicky as he fucked her. After what had felt like a forever of teasing, she thought the pace was agonisingly perfect. Ipos was a patient man, but he didn't bother going slow once he'd started; she practically wrapped herself around him while he leaned over her, kissing every part of her that he could reach and gripping her side hard enough to leave a bruise to stop her from sliding off the table. This. This was perfect. It was so rare when Ipos dropped everything that made him look cool and calculated and he ended up just losing himself in the ecstasy, thrusting in abandon. She felt his crushing grip tighten a bit, and that little spike of pain- somewhat shamefully- was probably what sent her over the edge. She tried to arch, but he was keeping her pinned there, so she writhed under him as she came. By the time she'd settled down, he'd come too. Although she couldn't see it, she knew he was grinning to himself, and he stood up a bit, leaning over her and pushing his sweaty hair back out of his face. “So.” “Ipos.... You....” She kicked him in the shoulder. “You forgot to put on a condom, you asshole!” “Shit. I knew I was forgetting something.” She winced, and he took her and and helped her sit up. “This feels so gross.” Gently setting her on her feet, Ipos steadied her as she wobbled. “My bad, my bad. Here, you go have a shower, I'll clean up.” Reaching past her, he took a few napkins from a holder and handed them to her before using a few to clean himself up, pulling his jeans up. Sheila held her shirt against her chest while she gathered her bearings before she set off in the direction of one of the back rooms, carefully making her way around the tables.
"How long has it been?" Mr. MacAllister and Satan (I dunno, meeting Satan again, and Nat's dad is getting on in years, and he visits before Death)
“Stanley!” Mr McAllister said, throwing himself out of his chair excitedly. “I was wondering when you’d come to visit! How long has it been? Gosh, listen to me ramble! Take a seat- I’ll make you a cuppa.”“Thanks, Alex.” Lucifer said, gingerly setting himself down on one side of the rickety coffee table. He looked around while McAllister busied himself in the kitchen- it’d been thirty years, or so, and the house was pretty much the same. He bought out a tray of food and a pot of tea, and poured them both a cup. All the while, he talked. Lucifer grunted or nodded in response, but he doubted he even had to do that.Alex would have kept talking anyway. It was something old people did, he supposed. Talked to themselves like that.“It’s a terrible thing,” he was saying. “for a father to outlive his children.”Stan jerked his gaze away, looking guilty. “….Yeah. I’m sorry about that.”He laughed, all in good nature. “Sorry? For what? It’s not your fault, Stan. We have no control over things like this or that.” He paused. “Age has certainly been treating you well, though.”“Yeah,” Lucifer grinned. “It always has.” While he and Alex talked, Lucifer had a few of his minions friends, clean up the house a bit, mow the lawns, things like that.“You’re getting on in years.” He pointed out. “But it’s no problem for young kids like them." Alex just laughed, and agreed, like he always did. I swear, Stan, I haven’t lifted a finger since you started visiting me again. He even sat with him and looked through photo albums, listening to stories about his asshole of a son and The Girl, and his dead wife.He tried to pretend he wasn’t exceptionally bored, tried to pretend he didn’t hate every word that came out of Alex’s mouth. All in all, he did a good job.Death was waiting outside when he said goodbye. "Are you done yet?”“For today.” He answered curtly, heading off. Glancing back at the house before following him, Death sighed. “It’s his time, you know. You can’t keep this up forever.”“Just a bit longer.”“Look, as much as I enjoy Lucifer, of all people, owing me a favour, this is getting ridiculous.”He grit his teeth. “Just a bit longer, Death.”Death sighed, stopping in his tracks, but Lucifer kept walking. “You have one week, Lucifer.” He called after him. “Then McAllister dies.”He was gone when Lucifer turned around, so he gave up and kept walking. One more week of listening to stories about Natalie, sitting in her house, remembering her. One more week. Then he could go back to pretending the McAllisters never mattered.
Umm, "You know, it's okay to cry" Natalie and Satan
Satan was upset. He wasn't mad, though. Natalie had seen him when he was mad. He shook and his face got all scrunched up and it made Natalie feel like she wanted to punch someone. His ‘mad’ was more angry than Natalie had ever been. She was trying to figure out just what emotion he was feeling. She could feel it building in the chest, somehow tight and heavy at the same time, and suddenly she found herself with tears in her eyes.Whatever Satan was feeling, it’d made Natalie cry. He was just staring down at his book, though, his face completely blank. Hastily, Natalie scrubed at her tears, and then scooted closer to him, trying to figure out what the H E Double hockey sticks was going on.He glanced over and moved away a few inches, but she moved with him, staring intently at his face and trying to find some hidden emotion there that she wasn’t seeing. Once they were almost nose-to-nose, Lucifer put his hand over her face and shoved her away.“What are you doing?”“There’s nothing wrong with being sad.” She told him. “You know, it’s okay to cry.”He snorted, turning back to his book. “What’s gotten into you, girl?”“I dunno. The same thing that’s gotten into you, I guess.” Satan froze, and slowly lowered his book. He glanced back to her, then away again, suddenly incredibly uncomfortable with how aware she was. How much she knew. He didn’t cry. But he sat there for a while, thinking, in silence. It was a start.
"Come home with me" Ganthea
He bumped into her entirely by accident. He had kept, perhaps, a vague note of the general places that Anthea frequented, but he wasn’t… stalking her. No. It was more that he… missed her. Part of him hoped that maybe if she saw him, she’d miss him too. “I'm sorry-” He said, but quickly cut herself off. “I’m- oh. Excuse me. I’m in a hurry.”“Anthea, I– Anthea wait!!" "Leave me alone, Gabriel.” She said simply, boots stomping through the disgusting puddles on the street. He could do nothing but heed her wishes, naturally, and he stopped at watched her go sadly. Anthea stopped in her tracks, angry with herself for feeling his sadness so deeply, angry with him for dragging it all back into the open again. It was so, so easy just to pass each other on the street and pretend that they’d never met. That made her heart hurt a little bit less. But this… this wasn’t what she’d wanted at all. She turned on her heel and stomped back to him. “You,” She said, poking him in the chest. “have ruined everything. I could have convinced myself that I felt nothing for you, Gabriel. I could have done that.”“I missed you.” He sighed.“Why’d you have to say my name like that?” She whined, pulling him into a kiss. She was hungry and needed to feed, but she couldn’t now that Gabriel had seen her. He knew what she did for a living, and she knew he knew that. But he was the first person she’d met since she fell that didn’t look at her like she was a piece of trash whore. And for some reason, that made being a piece of trash whore so much harder. “Come home with me.” She breathed. She knew what the look on his face meant. He couldn’t. He wanted to, he wanted to so badly, but he couldn’t. So he did it anyway.
Felix was not pleased when he came home.
