HALLOWEEN IN RIVERBANKS! / @maddyxperez
Fall was a beautiful time of year in Riverbanks. The island was dressed very decoratively with orange and black lights wrapped around palm trees and tall, scary figurines stood outside every local shop and house. Because the town was so exclusive, every holiday was met with absolute extravagance. Welcome to River of Blood: a Riverbanks Halloween annual event. For one week only, the Jacobs’ country club was open to everyone. Members and non-members were offered a pirate themed yacht party where the boat gets taken hostage by a gang of bloodthirsty pirates who drop everyone off on a haunted island where killers chase them around, and a spooktober dance that ends with a costume contest, in which the winner takes home 1, 000 dollars.
Jake was supposed to show up with Brooke but she was gone. According to Quinn, she received a rare invitation to France where she’d be shown around a few different colleges, which meant multiple frat and sorority parties in the mind of Jake. He always thought the worst. A campus tour? No, it’ll be a flirt fest. Brooke couldn’t help herself. Everything she says and does comes across as being seductive. And how will she help herself when she’s feeling down and homesick and has around twenty French simps trying to make her feel better?
Tortured by his uncontrolled thoughts, Stu wasn’t making things better. He was always in his ear, trying to make him do things he wouldn’t do on his own; such as, the threesome he participated in. Jake regretted it. He was drunk, lonely, and confused. And to make things worse, Maddy just showed up. “Don’t,” Jake warned Stu not to say or do anything stupid. Whatever they did together, it wasn’t going to be a reoccurring thing.
