––––––––––––HER BOYFRIEND WAS an ass. she had realized it when he first cheated on her and decided the best way to announce it was in front of all of his friends with no sense of remorse. and yet she stuck around, mostly because at one point this had been good. so good that she was stuck on that feeling, holding onto that one bit of fleeting love, hoping it would, in some way, come back. it never did, and she’s standing there, hearing him curse her out for one thing or another. the first time chris did that, adira had disappeared crying. but since then, it was almost white noise, only a few words hurting her more than she’d like to admit. so she remains quiet, his friends chattering away, christ still yelling, as she picks up all the dishes, bringing them back to the kitchen. this wasn’t anything new, but damn, she was getting tired. @madlvvewrites !
