It's the little things
Every year peace society puts on the Make a Difference (MAD) market, where we bring in local and fair trade vendors to both support them and to raise money to donate for a local organization. Part of this event is the selling of baked goods. Every year I have made a different kind of scone for the market, and this year's scones were a delicious cinnamon roll scone.
So it's later in the afternoon, and I'm standing at the market selling food and baked goods, and this lady I don't recognize walks up and see's the scones and says, "Oh, are these Emily's scones? Her scones from last year were delicious!" My mouth about dropped.
Like, seriously, she liked the scones so much she remembered that a year later and not only that, she had liked them enough to ask my name and she remembered my name in association with the scones. I don't know about you but if I'm at a bake sale I'm just like mmm this is a tasty brownie and that's it. But no. This lady specifically remembered me and my scones.
That kind of made my day. Hooray for nice ladies that appreciate my baking :)
