I was wondering how extensive your research is about how mob/mafia and the type of organization that black mask has? were they based irl and where? because its soooo good and clear and realistic 🙌 do you google things that would make the fbi frown?
The structure of mob I depict across the whole series—including when BM takes over—is probably 60% based on the fictional mob we’re shown in TDK and across other Batman media. The rest is backed up by research into the New York mob/mafia, which hasn’t really existed since the 80s, and probably wouldn’t make the FBI frown. You can tell the Nolans already did that for the film. Rudy Gulliani took the mob down using the RICO Act, which Harvey Dent uses in TDK pre-J showing up to ruin everyone’s lives (lol).
Money laundering though? Jesus fucking Christ I’m probably on a goddamn watch list for the amount of reading up on money laundering I did for thH.

This may be a good time to show you what the guns are based on. I personally do not like guns (I live in a country where it’s almost impossible to own one, or at least a massive pain in the ass to get one) so it’s almost all based off this so I don’t have to read about guns any more than is necessary. The modified automatic Harley is always banging on about is the “converted Glock 17” J uses in the film. But fuck me, does it sound stupid and gun-nut-ish to write them pulling out their “Glocks” every ten seconds so I went with a non-branded but generally correct description of that gun to describe it.
